Fucking didn't ask me to come............

Now I have to watch it at home and avoid the objects my wife hurls at me every time I swear at the TV.

No such thing as good or bad omens unless you're talking about the state of mind of the players themselves. I guess two or three of them may be superstitious so on some subtle level their performances may be influenced by positive or negative interpretations of the world around them.

The result isn't going to be affected if I decide to wear red boxer shorts whilst watching it on the telly.

You don't actually know that.
Please don't wear the red boxer shorts SK, especially not just the red boxers, just in case.

I do know it. It's the basics of causality. I'll admit that the collective mood of the fans in the stadium could (and does) influence the way the players perform, and that collective mood could be determined by numerous interpretations of supposed signs or omens (with the possibility of isolated and irrational anxiety spreading throughout the stands), but it's still very unlikely.

To prove my point I'll be watching the game in my red boxer shorts, and nothing else. Hopefully I won't get thrown out of the pub.

Myself and Bromavinci fly over from Dublin a few times a season to watch the mighty spurs but we have never before managed to get tickets for the NLD derby. I haven't felt this excited in years!!

However...... we have a terrible record when watching Spurs. We went on a terrible run of around 10-15 matches that we flew over to watch in which we lost or drew which made us feel like we were a bad omen and somehow responsible. In reality, it is Bromavinci who is the bad omen. Some of our results include:

United beating us 4-0
City beating us 5-1
Liverpool beating us 2-0
Wigan - 1-0 loss and 0-0 draw (the 9-1 was inbetween but we weren't there...)
West Ham 0-0
The list goes on...

But that duck was spectacularly broken when we smashed Newcastle 5-0 and followed it up with the 2-0 win over Fulham in the last game of the season. Okay, we saw the horrible 1-1 draw with Norwich earlier this season but that is a blip - surely?

Anyway, the point is that it hasn't been a great omen when we have flown over for the match so will we win?

Vote in the poll!

Haha!! I bet you guys had the best day ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
