Myself and Bromavinci fly over from Dublin a few times a season to watch the mighty spurs but we have never before managed to get tickets for the NLD derby. I haven't felt this excited in years!!

However...... we have a terrible record when watching Spurs. We went on a terrible run of around 10-15 matches that we flew over to watch in which we lost or drew which made us feel like we were a bad omen and somehow responsible. In reality, it is Bromavinci who is the bad omen. Some of our results include:

United beating us 4-0
City beating us 5-1
Liverpool beating us 2-0
Wigan - 1-0 loss and 0-0 draw (the 9-1 was inbetween but we weren't there...)
West Ham 0-0
The list goes on...

But that duck was spectacularly broken when we smashed Newcastle 5-0 and followed it up with the 2-0 win over Fulham in the last game of the season. Okay, we saw the horrible 1-1 draw with Norwich earlier this season but that is a blip - surely?

Anyway, the point is that it hasn't been a great omen when we have flown over for the match so will we win?

Vote in the poll!

As far as bad omens go my mother in law has been to visit us on both occasions we lost 5-2 to that lot. My wife told me early Feb that her mum was coming down in march, I promptly told her she wasn't coming this weekend! Thankfully she is here next weekend.

To counter your obvious bad luckism, we have never lost to Arsenal when I've had a ticket (2-2 when Jenas scored a last minute equaliser, 5-1, 2-1 last season, 3-3 the season before and the Danny Rose game, although I couldn't go because it got rescheduled to when I was on holiday, but I'm still counting it).

The last NLD I went to was the 5-1 CC semi-final replay match. If you would like a repeat of this score you can send me the tickets and I will happily go along in your place.

I'm not going to be able to listen to the radio commentary. As soon as I switch it on, our opponents score. So I'm leaving the radio off on Sunday.

Hahah I actually went five years without seeing spurs lose. And that included the CC final v Chelsea, the 4-4 and 5-1 v le arse as well as victories against the pool.

The I was in the away end for the 5-1 drubbing by city. They realised I was spurs by the 4th and made me lead the Poznan for the 5th. Not been back since

Is air travel really that reliable anymore? Something bad could happen on that flight
