Great draw though, I went to several of Wycombe's FA Trophy Finals back when they were non league, some great days out and have always had a soft spot for them (despite spending most my time watching Aylesbury, who were something of a rival!).

Ive been toying with the idea of taking my 3 year old to the lane before they knock it down, this could be the day!

I was at those FA Trophy finals. That was one good Wycombe side. It competed well in professional football after promotion with not many additions

It was a really good team. I think the 2-1 win v Kidderminster was my first final, Mark West was my hero at the time! I think they smashed Runcorn a couple of years later too, before they got promotion, with Steve Guppy, Martin O'Neill and co. Good times!

We played Millwall, back in 197..can't remember probably 78 or 9. Hundreds, probably thousands of us walking across London Bridge. Police swamped everything that day. Don't think I'd ever seen a police presence like that anywhere. Been to a few Millwall games before that, not Spurs games, because I had a Millwall mate. Horrible place, worse than West Ham at that time. Still had a great time in the pub after a couple of those games though.

The battle of London Bridge :).

I think a lot of the lower league clubs actively want away games against big Prem teams.

Chatting to my hairdresser (he used to play for Chelmsford) and he was telling me that one lower league team (can't remember which one) pretty much paid off all their debts and covered their costs for a couple of years due to playing at Old Trafford and getting a hefty percentage of the gate receipts. Most lower league clubs have pretty small stadiums, so games in 40k+ grounds are huge opportunities to bring in cash.

What's his name?

Both Exeter and Burton have taken Man U to replays and made a (relative) fortune on just those two games. From what I remember Exeter managed to go debt-free and Burton have used the money wisely since to get up to the Championship.

That's what we were singing all morning! It was either New Year's or Christmas and everyone was pissed. Early morning kick off, and we all arranged to call each other to wake up early.

Either way then, I know it's luck of the draw and all that but the only ties that are really interesting in the 3rd round to me are seeing the prem clubs up against some league 2 or conference side. I don't think all prem ties are exciting at all in the 3rd or 4th round. And nobody wants to watch league 2 v league 1 unless you support those clubs.

I watched the video of the Wycombe players drawing us and you see what it means just for those players to play against a prem team, and that's before taking the financial side into it for them.

That's why I think seeding could help the cup become a bit more exciting.

Home to a League 2 side...we couldn't have asked for a much kinder draw.

A similar team to last match should be more than enough to get the job done and any first team regulars who do feature won't have to travel. Perhaps Nkoudou will be rewarded with a start this time.

I share your sentiments as it add to the spirit of the FA cup, but for SPURS sake I wanted the bigger teams like the Arsenal to player each other that way making it easier for us to progress with one less "big" team out of the way.

Wycombe is my local team and I followed them for years. Saw all the Wembley games and the whole of the fa cup to the semi-final. I have to be Spurs for this but hoped this draw wouldn't happen. Good news is I might get a ticket as my parents are still Wycombe season ticket holders.

The Runcorn game was the season they got promoted and thereby doing the non league double. Not sure how many times that's been done.
