It's actually just clicked now.

When Levy said "Exciting times are coming" and stuff isn't in the public domain, he's talking about Poch coming back.

Because he absolutely thinks thats the answer.
I thought that the consensus was as an upgrade to the cheese room.

But if your defence is so terrible, why continue to play a style of football so heavily reliant on it performing at high level? We should be going "fuck it, 4-3-3, let's get at them and at least try to pressure them offensively", but that doesn't happen.

We're wasting an extra starting spot on these inferior players in defence, and in doing so basically handicapping the team before kick-off. If you have one good CB at your club, surely you don't turn out three in your starting 11 every single match? There's no logic here with these decisions, it's just inflexibility and stubbornness.
I think that's more a failing above Conte to be honest. You can't ask a manager to change his game when this is the way he plays and wins titles. The fact is we also had Jose and still didn't sort the defence. You wouldn't ask Poch to play defensive football if his attack was poor. You have to back the manager you bring in and get what he needs for his brand of football. Not bring him in and expect him to adapt to our squad. We even did the same for Nuno who seemed to be pressured to play attacking 433. DNA is what Levy said and the last 3 managers don't fit it.

Dier and Davies have proven to be, at the very least, capable defenders. Tanganga has not. Ever.

Tanganga was a nailed on starter for us until he injured his knee under JM and it ended his season. That changed his trajectory and he didn’t get a look in under Nuno.

He put in 3 Motm worthy performances, one against City. No need to rewrite history because you don’t like a player.

The team doesn't need 400mil to be able to beat Leicester or Aston Villa.
Chelsea don’t need septillion pounds to beat west ham either. Football is football and this happens. We beat the same team 6-2 this season. We’re not gonna automatically beat lesser teams every single time, because then why play the games? The opponent has eleven professionals out there too. The argument I hate most about football is we don’t need x players or money to beat x team. Sure but then if that’s the case why do we beat city? Shouldn’t City automatically beat us based on this argument? It’s not just aimed at you either just this whole thing in general. If we see poor results over a long term then yeah questions will be asked of the manager as is football. But we’re fifth and in the last 16 of both cup competitions. I think if we lost to city and beat Leicester there’s be more balanced views in here. 3 points from those two games is par for the course normally right? And also Bentancur’s injury makes it worse. If we take all context out of this season and say this is where the team lies on February 11, I think we’d mostly be satisfied. I’m just not going to get too high or too low regardless of results until I see where we are at the end of the season.

I’m bored of having a shocking defence, and a manager who sets the team up so that defence gets maximum exposure every match.
This is it for me. If you are lacking in certain areas and for whatever reason can’t strengthen it, you cover it with your tactics and other selections. You compromise and play a way that emphasises your strengths.

Conte seems to pick a formation and system as if he had ideal players, which at the moment is emphasising our weaknesses. It’s bizarre.

I can imagine that most people are probably accepting of a need for change as long as there is actually a plan this time and a philosophy as to who we approach. The recruitment process last time was horrible.

He won't quit.
We either have this until the end of the season.

If Levy sacks him, he should step back and we need a rebuild from the top to the bottom of the club.

Logic amongst a ton of emotion is so refreshing.

Sanchez is considerably better than Tanganga. Putting his debut to one side, which we lost anyway, he’s done nothing good in a Tottenham shirt. He’s a rubbish footballer.
I get your sentiment - but

Playing as a full back against Grealish and Sterling.

Fact is neither Tanganga OR Sanchez are good enough.

Conte and Mourinho will probably go down to be two of greatest managers who I'm sure really wish to win things for us and really like us. But sadly one way or another, one being Levy is in charged of us, that will never happen. I can foresee another sad breakup soon. Sad for me because I'm so glad to have them with us when they joined and thought we can achieve great things, no matter how some of you hated them. What a shit life as supporter of this club to invest so much emotion in it.

Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn. at the start of the season, hardly a defence you would think would only have conceded 12 league goals. that's coaching, why can't the 'elite' Conte make our defence slightly better?

We are not in a position right now for Levy to step back - so long as the Paratici situation is unresolved.

And, Levy is not going to sack a man just coming back from Gall Bladder surgery.

I have to say we really are not a straightforward club and have to be the most befuddling.

We bring in an elite or proven coach and fail.

We bring in an upcomer or unknown and do well.

We bring in players for record fees and they flop, we bring in unfancied players and they become excellent players.

We've seen poor results and performances since Conte took over. We had a short period of great results at the end of last season coupled with an Arsenal collapse that saw us snatch 4th. This season, being 5th with two more games played than the team in 6th (who will pass us if they win their games) in a season where both Liverpool and Chelsea have shit the bed isn't even remotely close to being good enough.
