Maybe he can get more of "his" players, like Porro, Perisic and Richarlison. They were all great tonight.

I don't think you will want to see this lot play any style of football...

We don't have the technical players needed to play any kind of possession-based attacking football. And with Kane and Son, we don't have the legs up front to play an aggressive pressing style.
Exactly, too many clueless players who look up and can't find a good pass. It's just top players like Kane mask how poor they really are. Take the best players out and they are exposed for their true standard.

I get the complaints about tactics, I hate the back 5 too but we didn't lose tonight because of tactics. People can blame the changes at CB, tactics etc but this came down to desire and motivation and the players fell short yet again. The same core consistently let us down. Route and branch clearance needed of the players first and foremost.

Not starting a strong team tonight was really fucking bad. Sheffield have drawn Blackburn, that could have been us looking at a smooth ride to the FA Cup semi final.

If he isn't giving us a chance to win anything, can't see him lasting really. That's his brand. And although I believe it's not entirely his fault, if we aren't winning he won't last.

Can't wait to hear explanations that they weren't really his players, they were just compromises. He actually wanted Hakimi, Alphonso Davies and Lewandowski. The club didn't get him them, so he wasn't backed properly.

Appreciate the man isn't here so isn't solely responsible and the players need upgrading regardless of manager. However, tonight showed me we need a complete change in direction come the summer. A coach who wants to dominate possession, high energy and pressing off the ball, we are starting to spend more in recent windows and we need to go in the right direction.

Tonight we played a heavily rotated championship side. Our system and style of play brought us down to their level, the game was scrappy with us having no meaningful possession. The players are massively culpable for not turning up as usual and I would be quite happy for all long serving players to go. I do feel football is a simple game overall, the team with the better players ultimately has the most success. We may not have the biggest budget but we are one of the top 6/7 in this country and there is a large gap before the others.

I wish Conte the best with his health and well being but I cannot pretend this is the right direction. For the record, neither is Poch. Great coach who plays good football but we need to look forward as a club. We should be aiming to win the FA & League Cup each season, we won't be favourites for it but we should be in the bunch of teams who realistically have a chance of winning. We need to take all competitions seriously, we will never build the right mentality when chopping and changing the squad in cup competitions.

Just unbelievable under him in less than a year we have deservedly lost in the cups to forest reserves, Boro and tonight
Why on earth he picked that team in such a huge game is beyond me, and can't think of one chance he created
And he wanted perisic who has been absolutely shit

As much as individuals let themselves down there is simply a massive issue in this type of game - for an hour Sheff Utd sat in and we simply have zero idea and identity to break teams down in this situation and that is weakness in the Conte approach. I keep saying it, a lot, but sorry it's true.

Second half v West Ham, match against Chelsea, open and quite end to end games = great for us we're comfortable with that. Have to pick the lock and play through tight spaces, well we have virtually no idea. Shuffle it about, eventually swing in a hopeful cross, it's about all we have.

Tonight the loss was more about that we just seemed to lose all appetite for it second half and fell apart as the game got scrappier and scrappier...... But it would be a lot easier if we had any semblance of quality and pattern play when faced with prolonged possession and tasked with breaking a team down, as was the case for the first hour of the match. It's really not good enough and verging on embarrassingly limited.

Yes we did lose because of tactics. We are so passive off the ball so we can barely sustain pressure against a championship’s B team. We are so predictable on the ball. We are flawed tactically. How can people not see this.

Needs to be both. Manager is leaving, and we need to avoid bringing in this anti-football nonsense again. We’re the only top team in the league that plays it and it’s not worth watching.

Also the players need to go :cautious:
