If he wasnt ex chelsea i'd 100% want him. But the ex-chelsea manager thing is just getting a bit weird now and should be stopped.
It is but he was top of the league last season until he lost both wing backs, Kante, kovacic to injury

Him and Levy would fall out in the first week!
Every manager falls out with levy, if it’s a short term contract until the summer id much rather someone who I consider to be tactically incredible, and someone who plays the same system as we do, combined with we saw he can come in mid season and smash it

We have regressed massively and are continuing to do it after his summer transfer window when he signed his key target in key positions like Perisic who is horrible. How is that close to putting all pieces together
We haven’t regressed. We’ve had extremely bad luck with injuries all season. Our full fit 11 have only played a handful of times together.

This is such a simplistic argument I hear over and over, do you think Conte chose Perisic over any wing back in the world or he chose Perisic has he had to stay within ENICs spending parameters of wages and higher fee amounts only on players when they are young with sell on? There’s a reason we get so many signings wrong no matter the manager, rarely getting the right one’s over the line to make us challengers, too much interference as has been the case for 23 years with that thick fog also known as ‘the transfer committee’…

Was it ever explained why Antonio had to have his gallbladder removed? My daughter had hers removed because of stones. I hope his isn’t a more serious problem.

No manager has their pick of all players in the world, not even Pep. That's just an unrealistic ask, I'm sure Conte would love to have Hakimi at RWB, doesn't mean he wants to come here or that PSG are willing to sell.

Peresic doesn't fit with our age profile or wage bill at all. He's 34 and on 175k a week, that's clearly a case where ENIC have compromised to get Conte a player he likes, no way would they push for a signing of that age and expense.

Besides, we've seen how Conte handles it when we sign a good player that he apparently didn't want. They don't see the pitch regardless of how badly their competitors play.

In disbelief after seeing Herc's info. We are still in the FA Cup and CL, 5th in the league still with plenty of games to go. Granted the performances have been shit, but not like we are in danger of relegation. What is hoping the new manager can do, can still be possibly done with Conte as well. Yes, I know the performance is shit, again, but .... argh. This is such poor planning and make us out of another joke again with no manager lasting a full season for 3 consecutive seasons. Leave Conte to finish this season for fuck sake.

The whole thing around Conte is just so bizarre. Those just don't sound like the words of a man ready to walk away from the club. The complete opposite if anything. Someone somewhere is trying to create a narrative.

Who is suggesting he is ready to walk away?

Spurs announcing that stellini taking over first team duties and contes Instagram post doesn’t suggest to me that anything is imminent re them leaving.

They are not all on the same page with Poch. But you know how it goes. My opinion, he is seen as a convenient safe bet which will appease fans at the least. There is a reluctance to gamble on unproven managers. What a mess.
They all need to get the hell out. Fresh slate needed.

Perisic isn’t horrible mate, he’s a wingback who has the most assists in our team this year.

I’m sure Perisic was a compromise for Conte too, ie he could either have another young un or an experienced pro on a free, with Perisic’s age always questionable if he could cut in PL in his declining years but a free punt, attractive to ENIC, of course free agents can command higher wages but massive savings on an established pro in their prime with fee attached. I just think it’s simplistic to say this is who Conte wanted without considering other. Influences…

Conte leaving I think is a mutual decision. His mind is made up. And Daniel wants Poch back.

I hope Conte gets better soon and will maybe get a chance to return for the last two months. If not, that’s understandable.

If Mauricio returns, I’m (guessing by some of the reaction) I’m in the minority in being happy about that. He has shown what he can do with a young squad. Bring in a top quality CB and goalie, bring back Spence, Reggie, Bryan, Rodon, and add Udogie and he has the start of a young squad brimming with upside. Wouldn’t even shock me if he wanted Lo Celso back too. (Not that I’d be delighted with the latter)!

The biggest issue with Poch is if Harry is on board.
