It’s not just about respect either, it’s about attitude and body language. If your new boss comes over to you to introduce himself, you stand up and match their attitude, show them you aren’t lazy etc.

Exactly.

When males enter the office, I usually roar at them and cut my chest with a bowie knife.

Doesn't happen too often now, since I've been asked to work from home.

Oh well...

I usually undo my trousers and slap my
cock on the table........

..... actually, on reflection, that’s probably why I got sacked.

Far too much is being made of the whole foods being banned. Its just one part of Conte's ethos to professional sports. Clearly people like Sherwood and all the other chancers on ESPN for example, feel that there is nothing else to fill column space with than "oh look THFC think they will win because they banned ketchup." Pathetic.

The England game last night just reminded me how Spurs it is that his first full season with us won't be a normal one because of the world cup ruining the season. Typical isn't it.

His first full season doesn't necessarily need to be a normal one - the important point being that it will affect all teams in the premier league, and also to an extent other big clubs across Europe that we may be competing with in European competition next year. He still should have enough of a preseason to distill his ideas into the players; and in a way it helps that he has the remainder of this season to work with and rate the current squad to see what needs changing before a mounting a competitive challenge next season.

Yeah really not ideal. Only small positive I can think is that the league's top teams (Chelsea, City, Liverpool) will probably have even more players on international duty than we do, so fingers crossed our players are slightly less knackered in the post-WC section of the season.

Also means Conte will have the rest of the squad drilled to fuck by the time we return. Poor bastards will essentially have 2 pre-seasons.

Is there a video clip if this? Cheers....

And for the record, I've absolutely never greeted anyone, let alone my new boss whilst sat on my arse. WTF

I thought this kind of manners were drilled into you the day you first went to school under the British system. In fact even my father's generation was British educated and we were told to stand up even when seniors come in through the doors.

Ha ha Sherwood and Conte ?

What a comparison, Conte working on numerous tactical formations and plans, looking at nutrition and working out fitness levels for a pressing game...

Tim in his gilet clapping loudly, and waiting for one of the opposing players to head it out of play so he can shout “he don’t wannit lads!”

Things like banning of the food etc isn't so much to do with nutrition etc IMO its more to do with shaking things up and Conte laying a marker down. "you are here to train and improve" kind of thing, exactly what some of our players need.

Agree mate, it's about making players 'think' about what they're eating.. if 'banning' ketchup and mayo stops someone eating that extra helping of dessert they've had every day for a couple of months, it's worth it. It's not a war on condiments, it's a war on complacency.
