Two poor goals conceded today as we did against Brentford and the knives are out for Ange's methods, style of play , substitutions & team selection. What a fickle lot you are.
Hyperbolic description of people wondering about the wisdom of our current strategy when tired at end of matches. Where we regularly concede.

'Knives are out' means killing something off'. This is language used to provoke and also censor general discussion. Inaccurate and needless imo.

Knives are out according to the dictionary - used to say that people are ready to blame or punish someone for something often in a way that is unfair

Just to be pedantic. The definition does fit people saying stuff like it may work in Scotland but it doesn't work here and Ange tactics have been found out.

It's a little hyperbolic but it wasn't (as far as I know) aimed solely at the strategy at the end of matches

Just seen the highlights and I’m amazed the first Everton goal was allowed to stand. Their player backed into Vicario and unbalanced him. No attempt at playing the ball. Penalties are given for less.

The thing is that Harrison has no intention whatsoever of challenging for the ball. He isn't even facing play. All he's trying to do is barge Vicario when he's in the air. If it's a legitimate challenge for the ball that's different but he has no idea where the ball is.

Knives are not out, its a football forum, we’re allowed to say that the substitutions are poor and probably cost us 2 points. Please find the posts where people are hating on Ange.
There are definitely a few in here implying it but in fairness it's the same people who seem to imply it every time we lose a game under ange.
They seem to be a bit more quiet when we win 🤔

We don’t control the midfield and haven’t done for quite a while now.

Need to get Bissouma and Sarr back in there.

Kulu who was shite against Brentford and shite when he came on today? Whereas Werner was involved in 2 goals against Brentford and was making some excellent runs again today but we once again failed to play him in
Werner should have scored twice today his shooting is comically shit. Kulu has a much better record in the PREM than him.

I'm all for Werner, he's doing ok but every time he's through on goal you know he's gonna fuck it up. Johnson and Kulu are much more of a goal threat and both have much higher ceilings.

He didn't have a shot did he? Not counting the offside as it wouldn't have counted

What a depressing stat this is.

Tottenham have now conceded eight goals in the 90th minute this season, their most in a Premier League campaign and the most of any side in the division this term.

Playing catch-up today, but how on earth was Everton's first goal allowed? The lad next to Vicario literally sets himself and then backs into him and keeps pushing like he's doing the backwards Six Nations. It's not even remotely subtle?! 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

Main problem today, apart from bentancur being well off his best was the anonymity of out wide forwards. Both Johnson and Werner did absolutely nothing and that just isn't good enough. You need players who will run at the opposition and strike fear, turn them towards their own goal, but they both put in pretty gutless performances.
We never got the ball to them enough. You can’t do much when you don’t have the ball.

That was frustrating to watch. Everton played their game and didn’t let us get into any extended rhythm.
