Jamie Ohara is spot on....

We just accept bang average across the Club....I guess that's why we are...

We're all sick of it

I'm still pretty sure, from All or Nothing, it's down to Levy's insistence to be one of the lads at meal times that's the major fuck up.

Loads of these players thrive in other environments but they just look drained at us.

Maybe the Man of the Match gets a one on one candlelit dinner with Levy and they're all desperately trying to pass the buck...

A lot of people don't like him and I don't listen to him a lot to be fair but anytime I have listened to Jamie talk, I agree with him. He's just another fan who's sick to death of the shit going on with this club.

No, he's a moron. He talks about kane being a bottler, yet he fails to mention him missing a decisive penalty in 2008.

The only reason he comes across as a fan, is purely because of the lack of insight. Like a dog chasing a car.

That is quite concerning. There's a part of me that would like him to come back but I fear it would just be a nostalgia trip and ruin my memory of his first spell.

Not sure anybody has much chance under Levy which is a sad state of affairs for all connected to the club because he isn't going anywhere.

I love our away fans, up there with the very best. But another opportunity to voice discontent at Levy and the board for a manager from 4 years ago. Very strange.

But fans cant sing what they want really there you go

Had to laugh when I saw Sanchez almost tripping over his own feet at the end. The guy is a nervous wreck, he needs a move for his own mental state.
He is actually and it's not even funny anymore. A highly paid athlete in a sport you would imagine he loves and even better, gets a kings ransom to play, and he looks like a deer in the headlights. Unbelievable

Tonight you could see it. After 20+ years our club is shaped entirely into the personality of Levy, Lewis and ENIC.
a soul less money grabbing ghost ship.
the ENIC corporate vampires have sucked the life blood out of what was once one of the most fun clubs to support
and our fan base has also been shaped in their image. Supine. content with mediocre. So many in our fan base thinking being the bottom feeders in a breakaway super league is acceptable….as good as it gets

spent so much of my life invested in THFC. Had enough of being a mug punter

2 points from Southampton and Everton. Both away Tbf but wow.
Its not even the result that is the issue, (the two teams have beaten man city and arsenal this year). It is the pathetic capitulation and no desire from any of our plays to guide us to victory, especially when we are winning. Two of the most cowardly performances you will see of any team this season.

You can't really tell if it's any good, because the players don't seem to bother following it. We've had a system coach for a 18 months with a core of players who can't be arsed to play a system. :s

We follow the system to the letter, imo.

We have two ways of progressing the ball. Two. Ball is passed across the backline to the wingback, and then cut inside to midfield, at which point the WB bombs on. If the ball to them isn't on, then the ball is recycled back to the backline and we go again. We've all seen it 1000 times.

Or...

We potentially have an opportunity to counter, so the ball is played directly up to Kane or Son who come deep for it, and look to take the ball on the turn, and lay the ball out again to the WBs..

We do the same thing, EVERY SINGLE POSSESSION. It's mindnumbing, and it's fully on Conte. We have square pegs all over the pitch imo in this system, and he's done nothing to address any of it. And worse, it looks like Stellini is just following the same playbook, of two plays.

Kicker is, we haven't had a WB that is dominant enough to make either option work. We've been asking Son to come deep over and over has now resulted in a section of the fanbase thinking that he's washed up, watching him fail at something he's never been any good at, and now his confidence is in the toilet. And we see a midfield two getting overrun more often than not, with nothing done to help them.

If anyone can extoll to me the virtues of playing a back three also that would be great, because we're leaving ourselves empty in the middle of the park for seemingly no benefit other than to be able to pass the ball across the back three about 30ft further to either side while Eric Dier stands with his dick in hand waiting to receive the ball back from Hojbjerg when the progression wasn't on, while getting no advantage on the defensive end since the end of last season.

It's some proper dinosaur shit and will not cut it in this league any longer. We can all sit at home and work out how to shut it down. Levy is fully at fault for putting him in, but Conte is on the hook for this awful and miserable football we've been enduring, and god knows how long it's going to take to fix because they've all had it drilled into them for so long. If he was truly the top coach he was lauded as then he'd have been able to put something it place to suit what we have in ability, but he didn't even try. I can only see the rest of the season being more miserable than the last few weeks, and I feel sorry for Stellini to be honest, because if we serve that up a couple more times, and at home, then it's going to kick off. If we are needing a result and he chucks Moura on again...it's going to be a Nuno moment, but this time there is no manager to sack.

Should have put Mason in, imo, until we can find someone come in and try to work out what the hell has gone on.

I said near the start of the thread tonight, that the first 20 mins would be telling. Either Conte is right, and the team lack fortitude. Or, he was wrong and they come out swinging.

With the utmost respect to those annoyed with tactics and subs, that's obfuscating a much deeper issue.

How many 50/50s did we lose tonight?
How many times did all of our attacking players turn the ball over?
How many unforced errors did we make?
How many second balls did we win?

The above is not down to a system of play. Everton are crap. I thought they were actually worse than Soton. Their one and only decent effort all game was a long shot from a CB that our crocked, washed-up keeper spotted hurling toward the goal, by the time it was already in the back of the net. Outside of that, they created F all. Not that we didn't do our best to present them chances.

That game should have been done and dusted, but again, the same set of players completely capitulated when it came to matching the energy and togetherness of the opposition.

Please stop making excuses for this lot.

Son's out of position. Okay.
Porro is still adjusting. Okay.
Deki has been injured. Okay.
No Benta. Okay.
Lloris was bought back to soon. Okay.
Sanchez never should have come in at LCB. Okay.
Perisic needs a rest. Okay.
We don't have enough attacking options on the bench. Okay.

STOP giving the players a pass. Tonight was the night to make a statement. Players like Sonny who publicly stated this week that their own accountability in Conte being fired, should have been playing like whirling dervishes. But instead, we got yet another limp dick reaction.

There was no intensity. No teamwork. No focus. If they had bought all three tonight, the limitations of the excuses above would've been overshadowed by their will to win. As Logan Roy would say to his kids: "You're not serious people." With the exception of two or three, they are a set of individuals who far too often get away with approaching the game like infants.

God knows what coach is needed to get that out of their system.

So here’s the thing. The players (mostly) couldn’t give a fuck. They’re at a cushy club, lovely elite training ground no red flags, nice pillows, average take home 120k. Nice

Levy whole Mo is to finish 4th - gives him enough liquidity to fuck around but shows nobody any ambition. Esp the players. I bet he shits his pants when he has to dig into the HSBC account due to maybe winning stuff. But soon we sink back and all is happy again, don’t worry, false alarm, mediocrity is back.

the lack of ambition comes from the top down, I bet in the pre season chat he prob does it’s let’s get 4 th again. Yada yada yada. Spreads down to the players who are thinking cool, the boss doesn’t care, I’ve got a photo shoot tmrw for strap ons, fuck putting effort in.

Managers are just deflectors for levy, look, I hired xyz blah blah.

until levy is gone it’s never ever going to change.

If that were true Stellni wouldn't have been screaming at them to push up, to no avail.

I don't think any coach solves this, tbf, the team needs to be torn apart and rebuilt from the core out, as it should have been after the CL final loss.

I don’t think it’s selfishness or the players not giving a fuck. It is mental weakness but that weakness is linked to poor technical capacity. Having no footballer in central midfield - no Eriksen, no Dembele, no Bentancur even - means there’s just no composure or ability to retain the ball when the pressure’s on.

If you don't have a system that wants to score goals and play on the front foot, it's no surprise that we look as hapless as we do even with a man advantage for a half hour. Nor is it surprising that players with a weak mentality don't have basic patterns of play to ensure we don't invite trouble while leading. The only clear chance we had after the Everton red card was the penalty. We didn't threaten at all. We didn't 'control' at all, which is the laughable irony because this team has been drilled in safe sideways and backwards 'controlled' possession for years.

The funnier thing is, we've been told countless times on here that the price for competing for trophies was to follow the method of real winners like Mourinho and Conte. Sitting back, controlling the game without the ball. What a fucking laugh.

The state of us now after Pochettino showed us how to be competitive in the Spurs operating model.

its an excuse

Skipp is there Hjoberk and sarr if they arent good enough why not give minutes to devine. Fuck I'd take winksy back if it meant we could play 3 in the middle and actually retain possession.

If the system isnt working - CHANGE the fking system. There is absolute no ball retention even with the slightest press by a 10 man dyche-ball playing team.

Why bother sacking conte if all we get is the same but without conte.

It is, but like people that find and pass on ITK info they find in other sites, disliking a person for bringing you the news isn't fair on the person doing the work.

Yes reply with your dissatisfaction on the formation/players picked, but people will just stop being helpful and passing it on.
Yep totally agree… wasn’t picking at that - he shouldn’t have had a dislike rating given. That’s nonsense. My point was trying to not get dislike ratings because they are seen as ‘negative’ doesn’t make for a very interesting discussion forum

It’s not an excuse, it’s the reality. We literally don’t have a fit midfielder in the squad who can keep the ball under pressure. Blame for that is on Paratici & Conte. You can do what you like with systems, it doesn’t change (lack of) technical capacity of players available at the moment.

Not sure if I am ashamed to say it or not. However while I have a lot going on personally and professionally. Over the weekend I knew we were playing Monday and had plans to watch the game live if I could.

However with all going I actually woke up went about my day and forgot we were playing. First time in 40 odd years following Spurs that has happened.

Sums a-lot up as I have become so apathetic and numb to the team recently. However having invested massive amounts personally, emotionally and financially in the club I was really upset today.

What has happened at this club over recent years has left me drained. Sure for a 50 yr old you might tell me to get a grip and there are more important things. But for me Spurs has been a massive part of my identity for most of my life.

Football is important to me as are Spurs, just sadly not today.
