Some suggestions that after the hip injury he had 3 or 4 years back he was never the same athletically.

Clearly a great bloke. With Hugo, Kane and now Eric leaving it really feels like the end of a era. Only Sonny and Gentle Ben left from the peak Pochettino team.

Nothing but love for Eric. One of the best people in football. He deserves huge respect for all he's done in the past decade. Would love and almost expect to see him back at the club in some capacity in the future.

He might have struggled in the last few years but let's not forget the great service he gave us. He was such an important player for us at times and I just loved it when he became our DM. He was just a warrior in there.

Can only wish him the best at Bayern and thank him for being such an awesome player for us.

Thanks for all the memories Eric, very nice bloke and has earned the right to a good transfer as far as I'm concerned.

All the best to him. Been a great servant and Spurs through and through. Sometimes his confidence dropped, but let's never forget he was a major part of the team which grew from fighting to get in the top 7 and sneak a Europa League place, to Champions League regulars, who sadly got far too many 2nd places.

Really hope the move to Germany goes well for him.

Absolutely a club legend in my eyes. Doesn't suit Ange's system but he's never been anything but professional and always given his all. Never went hiding.

Him and Daws are very similar in a lot of ways. Both great players on their day but slightly limited overall, but they both just 'got it' and I'll always love them both for that. Good luck, Eric.
Kind of shows the club has jumped a couple of levels in the last decade since Dawson left. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Daws, and he was a great player for us. When he left he went to Hull, Dier is going to one of the biggest clubs in the world. Dier has been a far superior player than Dawson ever was.

I get the comparison though. Dier is to Toby and Jan what Daws was to King and Woodgate.

So it's only a load move with option for Bayern to buy and if they don't take up that option?

Can move on I guess to another club. I can see him staying abroad. Don't think he will come back to England

I read that article and he said he has no connection to London other than the club and obv he grew up abroad
