Surely that will happen more when we play a high line as defenders will have more space to run at him. If anything, Mourinho's and Conte's tactics should have helped to cover his weaknesses if anything.
Not for me. The high line encourages balls over the top followed by a foot race. The low/mid block has defenders facing the attackers and being run at. Dier was very indecisive with that. he wouldn't engage, probably for fear of getting turned, and usually ended up backing off until the attacker got a shot off. we conceded loads like that.
