I couldn't find a thread for this which is a little surprising. Please merge if there is one.

I love watching this team play, far more so than the men's team and with the Euros coming soon we're in for some really good football.

In Lauren Hemp we have one of best footballers to watch in England (yes, men too), and I love watching the neat and tidy play of Keira Walsh. Just a shame that Steph Houghton couldn't get properly fit again as she has been England's best defender of the last decade.

Anyway, encourage you all to watch if you haven't been doing so.

I watched the game last night and it was a pretty decent watch. We've also got some tickets for the Euros which should be fun.

This thread didn't really catch on , did it? I'll rekindle it to say that this will be the Lauren Hemp final (see also Stanley Matthews' final). She hasn't quite hit her straps yet in this tournament but I'm quietly confident. Watch her go.

Agree with you about Hemp. First noticed her when we played City (where we won with the handball goal) and she was incredible. Every time she got the ball it looked like something was going to happen. She hasn't quite set the tournament alight and shown how good she is but she could well do so tonight.

Am I alone in not buying into the hype? Nothing against it, I just watch too much football as it is ?

It's been a lot more enjoyable than watching the England men's team recently!

Each to their own but there's been a great feeling about this whole tournament and personally, I've really enjoyed it.
Being on terrestrial tv has helped too.

There's nothing wrong with not liking it or wanting to watch it. It's the people who constantly try and discredit or complain about it that annoy me.

Well, not quite as I'd hoped but a ton of guts, high work rate, and flashes of brilliance. She'll get better. Well done England.

Yeah I certainly enjoyed soaking it in yesterday. The stadium was packed; the game was entertaining and inspirational.

For anyone interested, I then watched the final and bought into the hype, will still not watch much woman's with all the men's games tbh but was great to see them do well
