That's true. I think France are OK there. Clichy, Sissokho (sp), Evra (has he retired??). Other than that I can't think of any country that is particularly stacked at LB.

Italy have always had a good selection. I suppose, given the smaller pool of talent, the better left footed players get pushed forward when they're young usually.

1) Cole
2) Baines
3) Naughton
4) Lescott
5) Taylor

The fact that rose has been better for U21's than Bertand and Gibbs at times says it all imo

I would go with that - but also comment that the fact that everyone agreeing that Naughton (as a RB playing LB) is on the list or thereabouts shows both how few good LB's there are around but also how good the Naughon/Walker deal was to pick up 2 good RB's who can also play LB : I was not convinced at the time, but am now very complimentary of that deal.

We also have Adam Smith who is younger, similar stage of development as Walker before he went on looan to Villa, and although not sure he will ever be as good as Walker, he will become a decent premiership player in both RB and LB positions.

Cole was a striker upto 14 or 16 iirc
