And I'll kick off again:

1) Ashley Cole
2) Leighton Baines
3) Kieran Gibbs
4) Kieran Richardson
5) Stephen Warnock

That's a terrible list after Cole. (As much as I dislike him as a human being he is a world class LB.)

Baines is a good LB but doesn't he suffer home sickness?

After that no one else deserves a mention. Not even close to being international class.

1) Cole
2) Baines
3) Naughton
4) Lescott
5) Taylor

The fact that rose has been better for U21's than Bertand and Gibbs at times says it all imo

rose has always been played at left wing for the u21s and looked rubbish every game, stu pearce likes him though. bertrand has often got the nod at left back.

1. Cole
2. Baines
3. Gibbs
4. Bertrand
5. Don't know. Not seen Naughton at left back, and there's not really anyone else anywhere decent enough. In fact I'd almost put Gibbs at four and Bertrand at five and leave three vacant.

True but recently he moved him down to LB and caulker was playing in the same match but I agree he has been shit at LW and CM

For me these threads highlight a real lack of depth and talent after the top 2 and sometimes 1 players. After Cole and Baines the others are barely worth a mention.

I think there's a real lack of depth in that position world wide. How many countries have the quality of Cole and Baines in LB, nevermind further quality back up

That's true. I think France are OK there. Clichy, Sissokho (sp), Evra (has he retired??). Other than that I can't think of any country that is particularly stacked at LB.

1. Cole
2. Baines
3. Gibbs
4. Warnock
5. Bertrand/Naughton (I know he's naturally a RB, but he did very well last season.)

No one cares if you are the 3rd best LB. they hardly care about 2nd.

Where are all the Baines lovers? The same people who said that he was better than Cole before the ECL QTR

The Germans have Schmelzer and Lahm who can play there. I agree that we're probably 2nd or 3rd in terms of first choice two though.
