Nobody is using facts-it is opinion and it is the same old dreary no brain, shoots into Row Z stuff.
The fact is in his last game where he played 90 minutes he earned and scored a pen and set up on a plate a goal for Harry. I think Andros will get better and better and I don't give a fuck what happened last year under dreary AVB. He was not fully fit latter half last season either.
The thread is about England. I was looking forward to seeing Andros feature and I was enormously proud of his fantastic contributions to help England qualify and I love seeing a local boy wearing the Three Lions on his shirt.
Anyway that is my lot about the lad.
Everyone acknowledged that Townsend had a good game in the Europe League. However, that seems to be a rarity, as proven by his non-performance in the PL the following match.

Bit harsh to judge his performances after EL as a "non performance" then considering they a been 10/15 min sub appearances
I said his PL performance against Stoke was a non-performance. To be honest, his performances last season weren't that much better either.

In a match he came off injured at half time. Not picking an argument with you but it pisses me off that most spurs fan are quick to get on the back of our academy players breaking into the 1st team but the likes of eriksen lamela and soldado can do no wrong and seem to have a free pass

He picked up his injury on international duty I thought.

Your following sentence is laughable. Eriksen has been heavily criticised this season, as has Lamela and Soldado is criticised just as much as Townsend.

Agree. Once the FA decided to keep Hodgson in the job after the dreadful WC that was it for me. Handing the captaincy to Rooney was the final nail in the coffin. I haven't seen England kick a ball since the WC and from what I read on here and the BBC I haven't missed much.

Almost, but not quite ,as stupid as handing the captaincy to Kaboul. In fact , on reflection, nowhere near as stupid as that.

Are you fucking kidding me?
Soldado is in. 80% of posters team before matches and when he's not picked their is generally a hissy fit .
Lamela apart from a few good performances in EL and against QPR has been awful and for me eriksen has been the worst of the lot, not effecting matches as much as he should, piss poor set pieces and hiding and not showing for possession when the chips are down and the team needs him and despite all this most spurs fans still pick on the usual suspects instead of the real culprits

But has Townsend been better than any of them? No.

You said Lamela had only performed int he EL. Townsend has also played in the EL and has had one good game.

He's had more than one good game . Also out of the 2 he is the only who has exceeded in the EPL over a run of games , unfortunately it was for QPR

I haven't watched an England match in years.

Try as I might I just could not support a team containing Terry, wilshere, Gerrard, or Rooney. It has nothing to do with the clubs they play for, they're just all absolute scumbags.

Lamela has not Ben awful at all. He has been our most creative player this season without a shadow of a doubt. He is inconsistent and he makes mistakes but he keeps going no matter what.
Townsend has been shocking in virtually every single game for about 10 months. Not just bad but shockingly poor. He creates next to nothing, he shoots when he should pass, he takes the same man on 3 times and then gives the ball away.

Townsend wasn't particularly stand-out for QPR in a season that they got relegated - he showed potential, which he continues to do, but he is not as decisive as someone like Lamela has been (however frustrated you may be with his overall match performances)

He was quite widely regarded as their best player...

Pretty sure he had 3 or 4 man of the match awards, pretty hard to do when you're playing for league whipping boys.
