At his best, he is unplayable. At his worst, he's a passenger. If you could guarantee a way of making him give you his best 70%ish of the time, well worth it. If Harry can't, after practically fondling his balls the entire season then, not worth breaking the wage structure for.

My main concern is the detrimental affect it could have on our other star players who will almost certainly want parity, which if Adebayor continues to turn in performances for, say 1 in 3, this will only further compound matters.

I can't knock what he has brought us this season and his stats are still fairly impressive but I think we have over exaggerated his effect on the side by virtue of being served up such relatively poor strikers in recent years.

It was only two games ago where Adebayor was excellent against MAn Utd, the Sky commentary team were kissing his arse at half time and he had worked tirelessly for the team and but for a little but of benefit of doubt going to the attacking team he would have had a goal that put us into the lead against the champions and events may well have unfolded differently.

He is still our best striking option and I still find it hard to think of a better option we could realistically bring in next year if we either chose not to sign him up or where unable to do so.

When he's on it he's virtually unstoppable, he has bags of talent and ticks all the boxes for a forward.

The question is attitude, and why he can't perform more consistently (recently anyway)

When you've just lost two games on the trot, his Everton performance is not what you want to be seeing.

At the mid-way point of the season I would have said yes for sure, but now, at the 'business end' he doesn't seem to give a fuck. All smiling, no football... That really bothers me.

Same here. he also thinks he can get by on flicks and tricks, none of which are coming off. We are losing posession to often once the ball gets to him.

VDV off Saha is the way forward for this season and we need new striker for next season. Ade can go back to collecting 100% of his wedge from City

OTT stuff about Ade, 4 games ago he was world class against the Geordies.He has had a poor last few games, but i don't think our well documented baffling team selection has helped anyone.

Its not really OTT. I'm in favour of him staying and his talent is there for all to see, but I think he'a lot more to give on a consistent basis. The Newcastle game was an exceptional performance, and you couldn't expect that week in week out, but I would rather see more consistent performances from him....he's been blowing hot and cold too much lately.

Becareful what you wish for :shrug not you mr pink)..alot on here are slating him, he smiles alot big deal.He is off the boil yes, but he has been instrumental in how we have taken the prem by storm barring the last 14 days, so i think its an OTT reaction, his style sometimes decieves, i think he does care.
I do agree Saha should be given a game,thats why we have a squad, but all this Ade bashing is a little harsh.
