It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.

.....an SC legend once said;

If finishing 5th is a sign of failure just look how far we have come.

Refreshing to say the least amongst all this doom and gloom. An excellent discussion point also. So, I open it up to the SC collective.....how far have we come?

We've come far. We will go further. Never been a better time to support Spurs in yours and my short time on this planet Steve.

I'm really happy with how far we've come. What a group of players we've assembled.

I am frustrated that we didn't sign a striker. I know you have to grab your chance when it comes...you don't always get a second.

Overall though I'm happy and think Harry has done a fantastic job. Absolutely brilliant.

If we keep what we've got and build on it we'll kick arse next season, regardless of the other teams and who they buy. I'm very optimistic about next year and everybody should just shut the fuck up moaning about it and enjoy what we've had the last couple of seasons as up until then (minus our fantastic run in the league cup) we've done fuck all for over a deacde.

We didn't get a striker. Tiddums. We still have a chance and all the whining in the world is going to going to make us go back in time so just shut the fuck up about it.

It's certainly dissapointing... but failure?!

When chasing lofty targets things can go awry and whilst ultimately the season that started so well looks to be finishing on a slightly sour note.. but I have the belief that next season we will still be challenging for the title.

Whether we can realistically win it is a different question, but we should be in it to win it.

We might fail to win the title but finish 3rd next season for example.

If we drop back down to mid-table obscurity and lose our best players, then we will have failed.

Ahhh nice to see a thread for the fans who were there to see the late 90's stuck in mid-table. Some people forget how bad it was back then, there has never been a better time to support Spurs. We have come a bloody long way and will go further, provided the fans keep getting behind the team and stop moaning about who we should have signed!

This is the best squad any manager has had at his disposal for nearly 20 years . Those teams consisted on players like Dozzell , Sinton , Doherty etc . This is a class squad that should be doing better .

Cos we played the div one donkeys years ago , we should just be happy to be in the PL .
