I think the pro’s of this would be he would suit the LW role under Ange as he’s a 1v1 monster and he’s the kind of player that would give you a foothold in the big games where it can be tricky to keep hold of the ball in the intensity of the game because he’s so strong on the ball and press resistant, we do lack players like that in my opinion. When you’re under pressure having someone you can give the ball to and know they will keep it like Eze is very very valuable

He would be a great signing. Just don’t see it happening.

Has there been any ITK on this?

I dont know if this is allowed here or not but I saw one of the admins post this guys info on a thread last week:

On that Spurs ITK hub one of the 'ITK's' there (Chandler) has said the plan is to go for Orban, Eze and Douglas Luiz.

Eze is decent but he's not the answer to any of the problems we have right now. Especially at the money requested and having had a snapped Achilles.

Would be typical to clog the squad up with a load of similar players.

I guess there’s also the question of if he would actually want to be brought in to primarily play LW. AMC very much seems to be his natural position. If you’re spending big bucks surely it would make more sense to go for a natural LWF if that’s what you’re looking for. Ether way CP have a history of valuing their players extremely high and what with Zaha leaving, Olise being injured (plus supposedly having a low release clause) and Franca already picking up an injury im sure they will be looking to rely heavily on Eze. Looking at the current market for HG players I wouldn’t be surprised if they slapped a £100 + mil price tag on him. And whilst I’m sure CAA Base can help with smoothing negotiations and contract talks I don’t see how they will be able to bring his price down. The time to go for him will be next summer imo. If we need him then.

Yeah don't see how he fits in personally. Surely his natural position is where Maddison and Lo Celso play?

Worth also noting that that Chandler guy is rated tier 3 by them and he also said our other main striker target if Kane leaves is Marcos Leonardo. He might be right but tbh I’d be taking his info with a big big pinch of salt even tho ITK Hub has had some good info at times this window. What our own ITKs have said is we like Fati and we won’t be getting him and Eze, plus Fati will probably be half the price. I can 100% see Levy going for a player like Fati who would probably cost around £40 mil over someone like Eze, even if he’s CAA, who would cost £80/90+ most likely.

Yeah he's a 10 I sent the message above to my palace mates. I live in South London and palace is the local team. Everyone of them said he's a 10 and definitely not a 1 Vs 1 monster. That's olise and was zaha.

He's a good player but offer a less reliable version of what maddison brings.

Think that ship has sailed especially at that money.

We should be looking for a right winger with raw pace and end product and a goal scorer that can play more than 20 games a season. Also in need of getting rid of Dier and signing a monster of a Cb.

I think LW is his best role too. Could be another Grealish type player.

we need Nico Williams, not Eze
We aren’t getting Nico Williams, mate. He signed a new contract last year and no way Bilbao sells for anything less than his ridiculously high transfer release clause.

Contract

As of writing, Nico has 2 years left on his contract with Athletic Bilbao, which will expire on 30 June 2024. His 2-year contract is worth €4.70 million.

Does make you wonder if the reason we are thinking about him, if there is any truth to the rumours, is because CAA Base are pushing the idea on Levy rather then us actively pursuing him on our own volition.
