Much like the Palinha link I really don't see this happening so late in the window. It'd leave Palace massively short and at risk of dropping into the dogfight at the bottom.
Palace are already massively short, can't even put out a full bench. Eze would only go if they could get enough cash to get about three players in.

The frustrating thing with these links is that you can see a really solid blend of players that would suit Ange's style.

Maddison, Gallagher, Eze, Sarr, Bissouma and Bentancur would give us a really nice blend of options.

Plenty of Energy and rotation.

Just like Liverpool did a few years back.

Could even shift Maddison and Eze higher up and play 2 if them in some states of games.

Yet the frustrating part is we arent the kind of club to take those risks and pay what is needed to make it happen.

That midfield would set us for years and like Liverpool we wouldnt need do invest there for at least 3 years or unless we sell one for big.

Its too much of playing a football manager game as this set of midfielders is just an overload of good players especially without games in Europe and with other problems (CB, Strikers) to solve.

We are fine in midfield. Skipp may be not a world beater, but he is fine enough to play the 5th or 6th role in CM.

I love EZE but a point about Lo Celso. Was he the issue or was the other two in midfield who aren't great passers ?

One of my biggest concerns this season is if Bissouma gets Injured, I think a press resistant deep lying midfielder is crucial to this system. He makes everything tick and of course Maddison dropping deep and help us also really important.

I just wonder what Lo Celso would look like alongside Bissouma and Sarr.
This is 100% the issue. No one was showing for the ball from the centre backs, and so we just couldn't progress the ball.

Are there actually ANY real links to Eze? This all feels like hopeful thinking.

If only there was a PL club who could offer them the choice of nearly ten players they don’t want!
