Agree, Rose has been arguably been better so far in preseasoni don't think that's clear cut at all. i would not be all that surprised to see rose starting vs west ham.

Fucking hell. I really hope this is Levy's doing, and not Pochettino's, because if the new manager thinks Rose is worth keeping, I fear for this season.
Awful player with an awful attitude.
Surprised.
I really thought he'd be miffed at having Davies come in. Hopefully this shows he wants to compete for the spot and will be able to get better. Plus, there are lots of games he can play in even as 2nd choice.

MMMMM...Nachos.....I agree on the attitude front, and that has made him look worse than he is at times.
But it's clear he's not just an awful player. He was very good at Sunderland, and I think last season even when his defending was atrocious, there were times when he contributed positively going forwards.
If last season was all we'd ever seen of him then I'd agree that it would be strange, but if he sorts his attitude out I think he can still be a useful squad member.
Based on last season though, that could be a Peter Crouch sized 'if'.
Yeh, well, my viewpoint was more than he was the starting LB and then they signed a new one. Like if I was at work and they hired someone else to do my job. I'd feel a bit put out.Basically the vast majority of people use pretty minor things like that he isn't really a 'smiley' person and puts himself about a bit on the pitch (which he needs to, to be honest, being about 5ft 5 and playing in defence), once had a few words with Tony Parks during a game (like that never happens elsewhere) and is lazy with his tracking back (more a bad habit than anything malicious, something others in the squad are equally guilty of and should be stamped out by the coaching staff really), plus he once really controversially said that after playing week in, week out at Sunderland he would quite like to be playing week in, week out if he went back to Tottenham rather going back to the bench/reserves again... And make him out to be some sort of disruptive influence/terrible professional when really we know very little about any of the players and how they really act.
Edit: That's not aimed at you personally, Danners

2 words - Home Grown.
The squad is very short of them. It's another reason we are looking to bring in MS and let one of our other MF's go.
If Fryers, Mason and Carroll go out on loan, as I expect, it means we'll only have 8 HG's in the squad.
This means if we sell Dawson we'll have to replace him with another HG player unless we bring in MS and let another non HG player go.
