If they are happy to only take him for a year without a guaranteed option to make it permanent and we aren’t.IF we actually want him and that he's a first choice, definitely one we've chased hard and been desperate to sign all along signing, then i'd be staggered if we lost out to Arsenal. What can they offer that we can't ?

Well that's it then, no point in carrying on the rest of the window.Oh dear... Not ideal if true.

I think at this point they're just desperate to get back into the CL. It's probably a smarter move for them than for us as their squad needs a lot of work with less money knocking about.Gooners truly getting a small club mentality, if they would loan with no option.
Yeah I agree, it would be a bloody good move for them. Good temporary replacement for Ramsey, while they focus their limited budget on strengthening the areas that they are desperate for.I think at this point they're just desperate to get back into the CL. Reassuring cleverfuckeryI think there's a good chance it'll happen. The lad wants to play in the Euros and has a decent shot at it, as long as he's playing regularly and playing at a great level.
His options seem to be;
1. He stays at Madrid and he gets limited game time. Unless he's really confident he can change ZZ's mind.
2. He wants a one-year loan deal and nothing less due to wanting to stay at Madrid. Therefore, we rule ourselves out which means he either sits on the Madrid bench for another year or another club has to come in for him.
3. He ends up at someone like Arsenal or Milan, who have no CL or European football respectively, meaning he likely gets ignored by the Spanish selectors.
If Poch is giving him assurances that this is the club for him to blossom then he may well say goodbye to Madrid and look to establish himself at our club all the while giving himself a great chance of getting in the Euro squad.
If we don’t want him without an option to buy*. It’s clear at this point we want him.Think he only goes there if we don’t want him
