Comments Comments
In a story on April 2, 2008, we reported that Spurs star Ledley King was thrown out of a West End nightclub following a row with a fellow clubber. We accept that our article was incorrect and that no such incident occurred. We apologise to Ledley King for any embarrassment or distress which this matter has caused to him.

They must write a lot of these, the language used suggests that this is a common and accepted thing...

papers big me, they can say what they want in a big article on the back page, but an appology only has to be 3 lines hidden next to the mobile phone offers

So basically this gives them the right to say whatever they bloody want because all they have to do is say sorry afterwards.

****s!

It is, everyone knows the sun is a gutter rag and full of shit, the mail is a dangerous paper because people actually believe it.

Yeah I always think that!

They should make the apology more prominent to make up for their lies!

A tiny little apology hidden away in the middle of the paper then?

Too much to hope that they try getting the story right in the first place I suppose!

Shitrag though it is, the Daily Zenophobe has carried an awful lot of 'original' Spurs news over the past 6 months or so. Ever since their lead sports writer (iirc) went to dinner with Commolli (forget where that was reported - prob mediawatch on F365).

Yes, much has been toss, but I sometimes wonder if their bs Spurs news is actually fed from the club. Either to see what fans think of ideas like moving from WHL or signing a controversial name, or for other unspecified purposes.

Could be wrong though.

I added a polite comment saying that I felt sorry for Ledley and hoped they would be doing more than apologising to him. So far it is still saying that they haven't received any comments on the story....
