Don't get the issues with COYS myself. When you signed up you knew full well it had a strict code of conduct, that should you break it would see you removed from the site(I can certainly have no complaints). I personally really enjoyed my time there. That site really does have some excellent posters, and the CCC clearly works very well for a very large number of people there. I think of COYS more like discussing Spurs in a classroom. Where as here is more out in the playground with your mates, and you can say things you wouldn't indoors. I'm far more suited to having a drink in the bar as opposed to the lounge of a pub, which is why I'm now here and not there.

The "Bar" analogy is better than the "playground" one. I hope

No joke - when I rejoined after being banned they wrote an email to the head of legal at the Company I work for, who assumed, on the basis of what they had written, that I had been banned for something of a racist or similarly egregious nature and it was a total nightmare

[EDIT: I should also explain that I had been banned for "worrying the ITKs" - have a quess whether our Head of Legal sitting in the US knew what the f*ck I was talking about...]

It happened about 6 years ago but I'm still annoyed about it. The people that run that board are bat sh*t mental...it was a very regrettable experience

even after reading your edit, i'd have pursued legal action. That is so far offside! I'm tempted to post this on 4Chan and request Anonymous deal with them
