Collymore on ITKS

Just in the car flicking between stations and I heard Collymore ranting away about ITKS. He explained what it means (in the know) and then went on to claim that all ITKS work in burger king and spend all day on their laptop.

He then said that when he wants to know something he just rings up the player or chairman directly, and that anyone who believes the ITKS over him is an idiot. Did anyone hear this? He might still be ranting about it now. Someone tweet him and wind him up.

We used to have a stickied ITK track record thread. With colour coding for things that came to pass and things which didn't. Now there's frantic attempts to prevent discussion of exactly the same content. It's as much an improvement as an attempt to coerce you to eat a vomited up big mac would be over eating it originally. A contrast that it isn't ITK bashing to mention!

He also has pretty strong views on football stats guys and Football Manager. As usual he is half right but pretending to be 100% right.

There ARE people with the inside track and there are deluded fantasists, just as stats do show things that just watching the games do not show. And chairman/directors/agents/players are also not obligated to tell him the truth. There's no reason to believe what he says over anyone else.

He's made for commercial radio with such a myopic view.

I'd imagine Collymore is referring to the Twitter ITK's. The kind of people whose info will get you banned from SC if you post it in the ITK thread while Old Man A&C is on the prowl.

whats ironic about this 'rant', is that at about 10.58pm last night Collymore tweeted claiming he had ITK, and announced United were signing Contrao on loan, and TBF he was the first to break the story (before any of the major media outlets), and a few minutes later, after it had then broken on the likes of SSN he tweeted again. It went something on the lines of "What did I tell you, Contrao to United, done deal", so I foundit pretty hillarious when this deal didnt happen. Looks like Collymore isnt as 'connected' as he thinks.

He was also ranting about how there is no question that Lukaku would go to West Brom not Everton. Wouldn't let the presenter even get a word in. Basically said no point anyone else talking about it FACT because he had worked out as an ex-pro blah blah etc that because Lukaku was at West Brom last season etc etc that ... everyone else is dumb, he is telling them, everyone else should shut up etc etc, blah, blah , blah.... drone, gobshite, drone....

I respect his honesty, he is pig headed but he don't give a shit about what anyone thinks. He even addresses his own private shortcomings on a regular basis.

I don't have an issue with him and his views. At least he has the balls to talk about them and is an ex pro, so has had some background knowledge, but more importantly access to the game. He's vaguely entertaining also. It's the twots like Durham that I really can't stand. What gives him the right to even broadcast his opinion with such nastiness?
