Is it just a coincidence that one of our worst performances of the season coincides with the return of Adebayor to the match day squad. Or am I just being an old cynic??
Did he use all his witchcraft experience to put a spell on the team? They were shite, because they were not good enough and too be honest will never be good enough.. Champions League = Pipe Dream

This was also my sentiment. It seems that whenever Ade is in the match squad (the last couple of times he was in), the morale and performance/effort of the team drop a notch or two.

Is it a coincidence that a 3-0 loss incurred to one of our close rivals creates an incredible swathe of irrational comments on here.

I'd put careless tactics and selections by the manager first, then half hearted effort from those playing, then shit defending, the Europa League, Jermaine Jenas... then maybe I'd blame Adebayor.

At first I thought this was a ridiculous thread, but in fairness the team did look extremely lacklustre and downbeat. Not sure how much, if any of that is down to Adebayor being back in the squad, but I guess it's at least plausible.

Just to be clear, I don't think Ade being on the bench made any difference to the performance. If it did, I'd be asking some serious questions about the mental strength of our squad if they could let one player affect their approach to a game as much as that.

I would have rather had an extra keeper on the bench than him. Whe he plays we play shit.

The real coincidence is that he returned to the match day squad last season in Manchester and we lost 6-0. If anything losing 3-0 shows he's fitting back in a bit better.
