This will be our fourth two-legged semi-final against Chelsea in this competition.

So far:

They've just edged us out (last minute goal to win in 1971-72)

We've absolutely mullered them (with a 5-1 victory in the second leg in 2001-02)

They've just edged us out (on penalties in 2018-19)

So, by my reckoning, it's our turn to absolutely thrash them this time around. Keep it tight at the Bridge and then soundly beat them at our place. COYS.

The 72 was a Heartbreaker went to both legs
We outplayed them at the Bridge
Were 2 1 up and comfortable IIRC, then two lateish goals did for us
Great atmosphere at the Lane, went mad When Pearce scored a screamer to make it 4 4 agg
Then late on two of our greatest ever, Knowles and Jennings screwed up and out we went 4 5
Still won the UEFA cup that season so it was all good and IIRC Chelsea lost to Stoke in Lge Cup final
Was also at the 5 1, very enjoyable revenge

What a game in prospect. I think we have a days more rest than Chelsea
No idea what the two line ups will be, but I want Lloris Kane Son Dier Sanchez and Davies starting

Both of us have pretty easy FA cup games at the weekend so imagine it’ll both will put out their strongest teams.

Would take a draw this week at Stamford Bridge. At worst keep it to one goal conceded, then try and hit them in transition like we did v Liverpool.

That extra days rest could be pivotal.

They looked exhausted this afternoon and then the disruption of changing keeper.

We should go for it... next week at home could prove more difficult...

Draw would be great. I guess Conte will be keen not to lose this one at his old stomping ground, to say the least ?

The tie in 2018-19 was a really gutsy performance from us. If I remember correctly, we had loads of players out and had Llorente up top, who nicked a goal at the bridge to take it to penalties.

This will be very competitive, especially now we've got Conte. Can see us going full strength and it definitely works in our favour:

a) being away first
b) Chelsea playing City away on Saturday early kick off (which if they lose pretty much removes them from the title race)

Was also the first time they scrapped away goals which meant it went to pens instead

They put a huge amount of energy into that Liv game, we need to take advantage and get a result in this first leg and then play to our strengths at home.

They still have an insane squad so the impact is minimum for them, actually think Arsenal got the lucky draw here with no Salah or Mane,

If Chelsea had any sense they'd concentrate on getting their league form back on track...but just for the next couple weeks ?

Depends, no Lukaku Kante Mendy and only one CB and it has a big impact
But agree Arsenal have the better draw

There's a lot of noise Lukaku is pushing for a move to Spurs. That's never happening from Chelsea of course, but with any luck might irritate the Chelsea management enough, so he misses Wednesday
Hope there is a massive fall out and he misses all three gsmes
I still expect him to start Wednesday, but getting a little more hopeful he won't
