Think it’s completely clear why Conte sees Bergwijn as the most suitable striker besides Kane in the squad. Has been magnificent today, specifically his hold up play and control.
Stevie just seems to have a bit more intelligence than Moura with his dribbling and passing.

Get Tanganga off, don't even know why he's playing
Disgusting decision by the ref, he gives it, do does Var
Goal after goal Harry has chalked off
It's a fucking scandal
Get a draw and I'm delirious, but it's hard enough playing against a billionaire team, without the ref on their side

Sanchez looks uncomfortable at LCB, likewise Davies at LWB.

Need Sanchez to switch to RCB and drop Davies to LCB.

Take off Tanganga as his walking a tighrope with his yellow.

Tanganaga must come off before he is sent off. Bring on Emerson. Clip this because if Conte doesn't do this he will be making a big big mistake

Paul Tierney has just fixed the match. Fucking corruption really. Very clear goal & Silva falls over himself & Tierney wasnt even looking. And VAR doesnt have a look. Its a disgrace. There either keeping a false title challenge narrative or he’s got money on Chelsea. This league is beyond corrupt. What the fuck is the point of these games with this crap? Time & again false decision favor the top teams with money. What are we even doing here?
League uses VAR so poorly. Refs should be trained to let that go and allow VAR to determine if it was a foul.

I agreed with the punditry of Redknapp. Surely that's one of the signs of the end times?

FFS surprise surprise sky panel twerking for Chelsea. Roy Keane saying that's a foul! How bent is the whole of football?

A half of thirds. Opening bit of the game we looked completely befuddled by the new system. Middle part we restricted space and their ball progression very well. Towards the end though we've got a bit ragged, shape has started to fail, players starting to dive in or charge out of position for little reason, and put us on the ropes a bit.

The disallowed goal, annoying but fair enough. Silva is very lucky because the cutback completely wrongfoots him but Kane does give him a helping hand on the way over. Put it this way, I'd be annoyed if we weren't given that in our favour at the other end.

Clearly with the tactics/selection we're trying to defend out and hold onto something from this game and see if we can nick more on the counter. That only works if we get to full time so a long way to go yet. Going to take a lot more effort and discipline and hopefully we can work a few more counter opportunities, Bergwijn has carried the ball and relieved pressure well so far.

My god, are you actually serious? If that's your take on Kane's "contact" with Thiago, you must be completely flummoxed why there aren't 40 different free kicks and penalty decisions from every corner of every game ever.
Agreed, doesn't matter where on the pitch a foul is a foul. If that is a foul, any form of contact has to be a free kick or penalty.

Kane needs to be smarter with what he is doing, but there is no way Kane got enough on him to push him over.

There’s one question to ask in the studio and they don’t ask it:
Is it a penalty if Thiago does that to Kane?

They don’t ask or discuss because they know the answer is a clear NO

One big positive from the half was Bergwijn - he looks a player reborn now that he's got some confidence.

His touch was silk and he's so much less erratic in possession than Lucas. Thought he was great and a real outlet for us.

I think he's better than Lucas. And that's a compliment because I rate Lucas under Conte.

Jesus Christ people talking about referee corruption need to cop themselves on. Roy Keane agreed it's a foul, had Putin got to him too!

If Tanganga stays on I'm almost certain he's gonna get a 2nd yellow. They're targeting him more and more. Poor guy just isn't a good footballer.
