Battle of the oil Barron’s ends with probably the worst result. Only consolation is that Ngolo Kante gets to lift the CL trophy. He deserves everything good in football. Sublime player.

As if I needed another reason to hate City - play the game of their lives against us in the league cup final and absolutely average today.

Guardiola is a great manager! His team are creative and a joy to watch! However he sometimes has a tendency to be a bit overambitious and clever in his tactical setup. Especially no DM and no striker backfired I think.

Impossibly toothless from City.
Some of those Chelsea players put in serious shifts tho. Kante is a monster of a player.
Pep will def want that one back tho. Sterling did nothing Gundo should have been freed up.

What I think this does show is perhaps we do need a Conte... As mentioned previously on here, defences win titles and shit
I hope Levy is watching. Passion and tactical brilliance in coach wins you cups. ST holders and positive PR will sort themselves out.

Hate seeing Chelsea win, funny seeing City lose.

All in all this season I've felt more jealous of other teams than I can ever remember, has felt like a massive season of jealousy :ROFLMAO:

Looking forward to the Euros where I can for the most part just enjoy football for what it is.

There's no fucking justice in football, in all honesty. It really is sickeningly unfair at times, especially for us it seems.

Chelsea are built to win. They spend serious money on the squad and have genuinely talented young players coming through like Reece James and Mount.

I'm not going to deride what we do, but it's just levels apart including the talent of the kids coming through the academy.

Abramovich doesn't mess around. He was ruthless with Lampard and hired Tuchel now look at them. Levy rolled his eyes at an ex Chelsea manager and wouldn't sack him even when the writing was on the wall. He let the rot go on far too long, until our season was over basically.

Chelsea unfortunately look a serious force.

Unless we start competing on transfers, forget about us ever challenging like they do consistently. Our leadership just pales in comparison too.
