We already have 3rb..2 of them can't defend..we don't need another rb who can't defend.. spend the money where it's needed & just give KWP a season to play & prove himself instead wasting 20 -30 odd million

Aurier is actually a far superior defender than Trippier. it'll be very interesting next season like Moura Pochettinho is steadily introducing them.

He really isn’t. Aurier does a lot of good defensive work but he has a lot of mistakes in him and makes rash decisions.
Trippier is far more solid if unspectacular defensively.
I know he struggled vs the Man City forwards but who hasn’t and would aurier faired any better?

I beg to differ we will see in the coming future I just hope people will allow their judgment to alter (the mistake you mentioned he had to challenge for those ball he may have to change he's motion) . If he doesn't live up to exceptions I will be the first to hold my hand up.

We were rumoured to be after him last summer but didn't get anywhere so switched to Aurier in the last couple of weeks of the window. I think pereira is better than Trippier or Aurier (who are both better than Soares). Pereira and KWP would do for me but we won't be unloading Aurier after 1 season.

Seeing Pochettinos comments recently on trippier I doubt we will be getting rid of either our current right backs.
If this is the case I hope kwp gets a premiership loan to a Watford type side next season because at 21 he really needs to be playing to improve

True but if Poch really wanted rid of trippier imo aurier would have started more recently. Any player Pochettino has wanted rid off previously have been given the cold shoulder

No Saints player has covered themselves in glory this season but for me Soares has previously shown good consistency since his move from Sporting. He had a blinding season a couple of years back and I thought he would go to Barca but then Saints changed hands and no one was allowed to leave. I really think he is Poch type of player with a good brain, engine plus enthusiasm. I think we'll mix up the squad a bit this summer and hope we snap up Soares whilst his stock is low.

Simply no better than we already have. Southampton will want big money, particularly from, us so why bother ?
