The last few days I've just seen so many knee jerk threads in every direction - over the Liverpool game, the sacking of AVB, the West Ham game, Sherwood, etc. Considering that it is way too early to draw any conclusions about what the future holds for us, it would be nice if everyone could just settle down and have some reasonable discussion without the conversation turning into doom and gloom mongering. The only certainty is that our future is pretty uncertain.

Reasonable discussion = based on facts and logic. There are a few threads on the forum right now that are dealing in panic and hysteria, which is stressful and unneeded.

So I think what is worth talking about at the moment is who we should be looking at as the next manager. One thing I'm sure of is that for about 20 years, we haven't had one manager of the quality that our club should have. No one on the level of Wenger/Ferguson/Mourinho/Benitez/etc. So I would say that the vitally important thing at this stage is for Levy and Baldini to really make sure that they pick the right guy to take us forward. We can't really afford to pick someone who isn't top quality.
