It has been a problem for a number of seasons now. We often run out of steam at this stage of the season. So now we will find out how well the fitness regime will factor at the business end of the season.

So how is everyone feeling about the finish to the season? Do you think we can finish strong?

I'm rather confident myself. No more cup games to think about and no injuries at this time (which I can't recall happening in the past)

I'm not going to go into where we will finish but more on how well we can do ourselves. Afterall the only thing we can really do now is focus on our own results and hope others slip up.

I think we have a good set of fixtues left. The visit to St Mary's & home to City are the standout games but visits to St James' Park & Goodison have not been good grounds for us in the past.

March 21: Leicester City (H)
April 5: Burnley (A)
April 11: Aston Villa (H)
April 19: Newcastle (A)
April 25: Southampton (A)
May 2: Manchester City (H)
May 9: Stoke City (A)
May 16 : Hull City (H)
May 24: Everton (A)

I'm quite sure we won't run out of steam but have we enough guile to unlock the defences of out opponents?
Think we'll get about 19/20 points from these 9 games.
All depends on which THFC turns up for these games.

The team that bossed Chelsea/Arsenal or the Manu team from last weekend? We could end up winning them all if the former turns up for them all or maybe 9/10 if it's the latter..

can pretty much guess the way this thread will go and who will be the main whiny protagonists.

Meh, sadly I couldn't care less!

I would take any league position now really as its all about the summer now and removing the rubbish and getting some more players in with the managers philosophy in mind.

I think it depends on mentality rather than fitness. If we pick up maximum points in the next few games it might keep them interested/switched on till the end of the season.

Good for you old bean. It's being so cheerful that no doubt keeps you going. Nothing like trying to stifle opinion on here is there?

Who do you work for by the way, the thought Police?

Same old. I just want us to recall Prtichard Carroll and Veljkovic, step up Onomah and Winks and just see who is ready for next season.

The most worrying aspect of the loss to Manure was the entire team looked tired. Maybe the same 15-16 players playing all those high-energy games have taken their toll. If that is the case, it would be difficult to play with any consistency for the rest of the way now that there is little to play for. Would certainly like Poch to introduce a couple more youngsters to liven up things a bit.

To avoid being classed as one of your "main whiny protagonists" i'm going to agree with anything you say. That way neither of us get's to be disappointed.

Good. You might surprise yourself how much fun it is to get behind our current side. Who are actually worthy of supporting for a change.

It certainly beats dwelling in that dark defeatist black hole you habitually crawl into.

But i sometimes crawl in their to snuggle up to you...................

"CowInAComa: its going to be comedy carnage in our defence second half with the sun in our faces.

I predict a penalty, a sending off and an own goal. The Tottenham royal flush

"get behind our current side"

Yup, kettle, pot and very black me thinks.
