Not seen much of CCV but with him chosen on the bench the other night ahead of fazio it looks like fazio will be sold in jan/summer to make room for CCV in the squad
Question is should he be loaned out in January to go get game time against bigger/stronger players than the U21s? Tough to break in as a CB in mid-year, but in the right opportunity it would be great experience.

Sick video. Best of luck to the lad. I hope he's doing well enough in training to make us think seriously about buying a Fazio replacement. If not, I do think we should be aggressive in finding him a pro loan for the rest of the season.

Oh and I'll admit it, unless the accents are really thick, I do find it difficult to discern between Aussie and South African accents :cautious:

Yeah you could be right depend on our injuries at CB I suppose. One of CCV or velkovic should be kept as cover because I'm not keen on fazio playing much for us again

as much as i'd like it, i don't think ccv is ahead of fazio, it was just a good opportunity to have him as part of the squad.

Against Qarabag, Fazio was the only first-team player to not travel, whereas players like CCV and Harrison did.

And this is why the rest of the world can't stand the English.

More professional pride? What the fuck?

What a hilarious overreaction.

Yes, there's more professional pride in playing for a higher ranked international side.

That seems an excellent reason to be racist, well done. I could've easily said the same about the ridiculous "'Merica wins whatever we want" comment from earlier.

Don't know Fazio has been missing for a while. He seems to be on his way, so I think Poch is thinking if he isn't staying he may as well give all the experience to CCV

Yes you could have. Seeing as it wasn't made by me, and I'm not American, I don't see the relevance :p

I never said you did, or that you were - merely pointed out that I didn't lower myself to the same level as you did in response to my comment.

That got more under your skin than I thought it would....

Mauricio Pochettino believes reserves like 18-year-old Carter-Vickers have what it takes to help fill the void.

“We have a lot of players in defensive positions that can play. We have another youngster from the academy, Cameron Carter-Vickers,” said Pochettino. “He’s young but he has enough quality, and he’s been training with us from the beginning of the season and playing with the Under-21s.

“I think it’s a good opportunity (for him) to stay with us now more consistently. I don’t expect to (sign a player to) cover Jan Vertonghen, I think we have enough players to cover his injury.”

Can't wait to see this kid, have only fed off the guys who follow the youth on here and YouTube. The game on Sataurday would be ideal for him to get his first outing but then again, Wimmer needs time with Toby.

Wimmer has started like 5 or 6 games. All but one of those was with Toby. So it's not like this will be completely new to them. We have 2 league games in 5 days next week. Toby needs to be as fit as possible for them.

I think the Wimmer/Toby needing time has been a bit overplayed. It's only going to be one game against Colchester anyway, hardly time to build an understanding.

Far better to rest both Toby and Dier who have played almost every minute of every game so far this season.

Let Toby and Wimmer start together against Norwich. Even if we are bit more suspect at the back, if we have our shooting boots on their shite defence will give us enough chances to win the game.

I think there would be less pressure on Sat for Vickers though, get his debut out of the way with less pressure on the kid.

The US will become far better than England. Don't know when, but already they have far more active young players.

Well they have the resources and if they take it seriously they can become a force, not sure about being far better than England, that's a stretch.

Why not? Scotland was a force once, before they became a farce. Hungary was once the world's best team. England is a good team, but not great.
