Maybe I was caught up in the atmosphere (and the beer) in the pub where I watched it.... but I actually really enjoyed the fight

Despite the obvious lack of quality

Despite the fact I lost 100 betting on Haye and proved myself to be a know nothing bitch of a boxing pundit

It was exciting to watch, my friends and I were hyped up the whole fight

(Probably should reacknowlede the role the alcohol played)

I thought it was a decent watch up until the 7th or so. Unlucky Shea, i can't imagine many people wouldn't have thought it a sure thing. Not that I know much about the sport really but hey. Or Haye :p

My weekend of gambling just went from bad to worse

Had a tenner on harry kane to score first and spurs to win 3-1 at 33-1 with paddypower

Had it won for about 30 seconds

Just seen they are still advertising the fight to watch either tonight or tomorrow, but still charging £16.95 .

Who the hell is going to still pay that knowing exactly what's happened? May as well take a £20 note and stick it up your arse.

It will be on Sky Sports for free in a few weeks.

Listening to Bellew on the radio earlier, he mentioned that they were taunting each other early on, but after Haye picked up the injury he was telling him to stop to save his own health and not even in a sarcastic way. It's funny he says that cos as the seventh runs on and some of the eighth Haye is just propped up with Bellew booping him on the forehead (he was hardly hitting him - sure, might've sparked me right out, but tired or trying to keep the fight going while he convinced Haye to quit, he was padding at him for most of the round) makes me think that it's probably true.

If it was anyone but Haye, whose injury history is starting to get a bit sus if we're being honest, i suspect he'd have not gotten up from his stool after he hurt himself but i reckon all the talk of him being a bit fragile has gotten to Haye and he realised that Bellew likely couldn't knock him out by that point so might as well stay in and see what happens.

Haye was injured going in to the fight. IMO he had to be. It's the only way his exaggerated wide stance can be explained to start with. He wasn't generating any of his famed power from the off because of this stance.

It's no coincidence that two days before the fight he flies to see a specialist in Germany who deals with leg injuries and footballers...

The injury then got worse in the sixth round and rendered him a sitting duck.

Nobody really comes out of it with too much credit. Haye should probably have withdrawn before the fight but had he done that then he'd have forefeited the payday he came back for and given his track record of injuries, he would probably never have got another chance again. Obviously got to tip the hat in one sense for fighting with an injury but it's also stupid. Desperation makes people do stupid things though I guess. Had it been Fury or another well sized capable heavyweight he probably wouldn't have risked it but he probably thought he could beat Bellew even with the injury.

They'll probably rematch. Bellew doesn't want any of the beasts floating about the cruisers, they don't bring enough money. Risk v reward and all that. I guess he could always lay down against Wilder or Joshua for another big payday. Haye makes the most sense though, another big payday against an old, injury prone fighter who's ambition only stretches to getting a payday himself.

Just watched the haye fight now sky have put it up for free on demand...listening to it live on the night, it was made out to be a classic and bellew was amazing...

Watching it though, and without the emotion of it happening live, it was anything but...bellew barely landed a punch until haye got injured...haye wasn't much better, he looked slow and clumsy and that was before he got injured, although he may have been a round or two ahead...

Bellew made very hard work of beating a man on one leg after that...he would get destroyed against a proper heavyweight like Joshua, no wonder joshua was laughing when bellew even mentioned possibility of fighting him in post match interview...

Not surprised bellew has since come out and said he may not fight again...he knows he got lucky by beating an injured man and earning millions from many people paying up to see hype over substance

The amusing thing is sky barely made reference to the injury and carried on, and have since carried on, like Bellew simply wore him down and outlasted him! Talk about the in house promoter allowed to write the script.

I lost respect for the pundits covering it. Nelson, Froch and co, nothing more than cheerleaders who stick to the Matchroom script.

Yeah, sky so far up Eddie Hearn's arse these days...but five live weren't any better...like I said, I listened to the fight as I'm too much of a tight arse to fork out unless it's a genuine uber fight (then watched it later in the week when free)...five live made out that bellew was amazing...so I was mystified when I saw him land just a handful of punches for the first five rounds and only go on the attack when haye was fcuked with an injury..,and even then he wasn't that great...haye would have fought till the end of the towel hadn't been thrown in...didn't look like much of a punch that floored him, just awkward as he fell through the ropes.

Good fight. Wouldnt have gone a 115-112 score like 2 judges went but I agree with the decision. GGG edged it for me on the knockdown but Jacobs definitely did alot that fight. 6-6 on rounds but the knockdown was the difference, 114-113. Great fight though and Jacobs did extremely well. Hard done by on the judges score card

I'm in shock - I 100% believed Roman Gonzalez would go on to surpass (in fact eclipse) the unbeaten records of Floyd and Marcenao.

That said it was an amazing fight and the Thai fighter probably deserved the win - rematch is certain

The main event was also a great fight, something of a chess match at times and as said above the knock down probably made the difference

Great night of boxing stateside (most decent fights have been over here in recent times)

Got a shit stream but Crolla seems to be struggling but putting up a good fight.
Yep was never going to improve on the last fight, unfortunately no punch and limited ability at that level , does have amazing determination and heart though. He did fantastically well to recover from that monster uppercut, beautiful punch from linares.
