Agreed. You just never know.
It's just so hard to know, I agree.

French PSG fan & Journalist under the name Guillaume L on Twatter:
(My compilation/Translation):

Are you for or against the arrival of the Stambouli #PSG? RT for, against FAV
I find Stambouli not bad, but has he more levels to play than OM, an average team L1, so ...
Tottenham bought Stambouli € 5M. He played little, and we will buy him for € 2m + (or 4)? That's what bothers me...
It is to replace Cabaye, that 's obvious.
Blanc wanted Cabaye, failure, if Stambouli comes and it is still a failure, it will really posting the right questions

Bag of salt... You never know.

L'Equipe were first to break Benji to Spurs last summer, so you never know.
Yeah and it was one of the quickest transfers with absolutely no noise I've ever seen us do.

Within hours of being linked we signed him. I remember it clearly as I was commenting in the player thread that picking him up didn't make that much sense and it was likely BS and then only a couple hours later the deal was basically signed and done.

As I understand it, we gazumped Fiorentina as he was about to sign for them- might explain why we moved quickly.

I remember thinking that if I were in his shoes and with his skill set, (and not a Spurs supporter), I'd pick Fiorentina. Only problem was, he actually is a Spurs fan.

PSG link now also reported in Italian media.
PSG coach Blanc played a long time for Montpellier, same as Stambouli. Might be that Blanc has followed his career at Blanc's old club.
