I think Rose may go in January as Ben Davies looks more and more suited to a place in our back four long term.

Can't find a PLAYER WATCH thread for Ben.

I thought he was excellent today. Solid at the back, got up and down well, was really nice and aggressive in his play and the tackle without being reckless.

Maybe his best game for Spurs.

It's almost as though he's a talented young player and just needed a run of games to find some form, isn't it?

Great competition between him and Rose at the moment and nice to know we don't need to panic if either get injured.

Fair enough - it's all subjective. Dier may be able to cross the ball, when I look at him I see a 6ft 4in centre-back who's slow on the turn and is never going to be as athletic as Kyle Walker. He's just not a right-back, for me.
Quicker than corluka

I was impressed with him against Palace. He is quicker than I thought and does great at providing an outlet on that left flank. He is very reliable with the ball and I think he is underrated when it comes to popping up in good positions for the attack.

Above all else, he is a very reliable defender for us when he is put in there, and, as the saying goes, defenders are supposed to defend.

Why what's he been up to? :p
