Has anyone read this? I quickly saw a glance on the back in the newsagents. Says Ramos has been in contact with Barca about a swap...?

Wouldn't surpris me if we were pushing this, however it probably would surprise me if it goes through.

Eto'o plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world, I don't see why he would want to join us.

to be fair though In order to get to be a big club we need players like that. Ramos could be clever and use that sort of statement, to say what he wants to do and how serious he is about it

Or whoever has written the story has just been on here or COYS

You're probably right as the club don't talk to the standard do they?
Ever since the old rag launched an attack on the club, the board, the Director of Footbal, the chairmen, the players (some) so I can't see any of them calling up the standard to give them a scoop even if they are now allowed back in the ground.

Berbatov plus 20m for Eto'o and Ronaldinho - if this was offered would it be a good deal? I think thats a good deal allround

It's a good statement to make in that it tells Man U and Chelsea that they'll need to include players like Anderson, Tevez, Essien and Mikel in their £40m to interest us, not crap from the edges of their squads.

Looks like Ramos wants to keep Berbs after all. By swapping for players who want no part of Spurs. Ramos can always tell Berbs "we tried".

Well, if you believe this info Eto'o is closer to Citeh or manu. Well, at least he'll be seen by millions on OT this evening.

Or if you believe the post on GG.net from someone working with the Barcelona team, Eto'o is in Manchester and has not visited The Lane/Spurs Lodge.

Funny that bubble have a complete clearout offensively in his Dream line-up in his sig, when were banging in goals and have our "old" defence, that is leaking goals....:)

if we swapped berba for anyone, we should receive a healthy amount of money with the player we are getting.. berba's in much more demand then the player that we may receive in the player exchange.

straight berba-Eto'o swap is unbalanced and would never happen

It should be obvious by now that we are going to swap Berbatov for Eto'o and bring in David Villa in an unreleated deal, leaving us with Eto'o and Villa as our starting strike force.

MOdric and another equally fantastic (to be bought) creative midfielder will supply them chances all game and they will be joint european golden boot winners.

But we will be frail at he back still....?

Not so, because I forgot to metion the 6 new keepers we will be bringing in so one bad game and your easily replaced (hows that for keeping you on your toes...no pun intended)

As well as a Midfield enforcer to destroy all other teams cm pairings and take all the pressure off our backline whilst allowing our creative midfielders to do what they do best.

Throw another CB in the mix to replace/cover the largely injuried Ledley and MR Berbatov will be regreting the biggest mistake of his career when he sits on the Barcalona bench having failed to adapt to Spanish lifestyle whilst watching our 7-0 demolition of the Goons on whatever the SPanish have in lue of match of the day.

Something along those lines sounds about right

Berbatov for Eto'o in a straight swap, is a good deal in my books. Eto'o and Bent up front is a frightening prospect... and Robbie Keane has a footballing brain to play with anyone.

I don't know much about Eto'o but on the few times I've seen him, he's never impressed me - is he really as good as his superstar reputation - to me he's not as good as Berbs - may be wrong of course

can anyone explain to me just why why Eto'o is so good - I'm ready to be convinced - and I don't mean by you tube clips :)

I've already said plenty of times if we do sell Berbs I'd rather not spend the money on a big-name striker - and use that money to get a decent striker in who can play with Bent & Keane - and then the rest of the money either on another decent striker or one of our priority positions like GK

of course a swap is a different matter - but swaps don't happen muchand I'm not sure about the value of such a swap anyway for us
