winning 5-1 at home to end the season, artetas highest finish as manager i think? and the youngest team in the league, I'm sure they will say it was a step to far this time, but a positive season overall from where they've been, with bigger things to come as the kids mature etc etc.

and to be honest thats probably fair and true, the troubling reality for Arsenal though is that because of Newcastle, Man United and now ourselves with CL money and Keep Conte Calm money it makes it extremely difficult to match 5th place again, let alone better it .

I wonder if they'll just gloss over the NLD and Newcastle. Part of me really hopes they go down the tinfoil hat route on the NLD like Arteta did.

I agree it's a solid season for them finishing 5th but they have blown an enormous opportunity and now will have it even harder trying to get in next season.

Daniel Kaluuya will be narrating Arsenal’s All or Nothing documentary.

He was chosen due to his ability to relate to his viewers.

The good news keep coming.....Elneny has signed a new deal
Manager Mikel Arteta said: “Mo is a really important part of the team. He brings endless energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the team."

Xhaka next hopefully :)

Fine praise.

Fair play to Arsenal. They're moving fast this summer.

Having swooped and picked up the up-and-coming 29-year-old Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny on a free transfer, rumour has it that they've now signed up promising young talent Eddie Nketiah on a free too, giving him a five-year contract.

Eddie had been interesting the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham, but it's believed he wants to chance his arm at a club who can promise him Europa League every season.

According to Wiki, Nketiah once said 'I'm a striker, I'm brave, I like to put myself in the places where the chances are going to fall'.

Despite that, he's giving Arsenal's front line a go.

Arsenal fans were ecstatic at the signing, with one poster on Arse Mania welcoming it thus:

Think NKetia will regret staying there. He’s not really good enough, and they’ll be looking to bring in better, he’ll end up a squad player, when really he needs to be out playing week in week out at this point in his career.

Thing is I don't even think he's a bad player or anything but at the same time he screams that mediocrity that I think Arsenal fans are desperate to move on from. I'm not sure he would particularly greatly shine at even a lower half team.

They'll probably just go and buy the one striker now as I'm not sure he'd sign that contract if he knew he'd go on to be behind two new players but eventually he will fall down the pecking order again.

Yeah a poor decision by him.

The only reason he was their first choice towards the end was because Lacazette already had one foot out of the door. While he did fairly well when he played, they will obviously aim to sign another first choice striker this summer so, barring injury, he'll be back as a bench/bit part player next season.

At 22 years old he needs to be a guaranteed starter at a club, not a league cup/rotation option.

I think he’d do ok at somewhere like Brighton, or Palace etc. He’s at least on par if not better than the likes of Maupay et al. But I don’t think he’s anything exceptional.

Problem is, they are doubling down on him. They prioritised him over Donyell Malen, who has now gone on to be a far better player, so they'd look daft if they let him go.

Yeah it really feels like they are using him more than thinking about his career. Stranger things have happened but you can’t see him doing much there. But sometimes it just takes a moment for it all to click.

Reeks of desperation though and then not being able to afford to buy two strikers as I’ve previously suggested might be the case.

Yeah I think he could do ok at some too, but probably more so at those teams who are lacking any sort of substantial striker, as opposed to displacing anyone at any of those lower clubs who have more of a recognized figure in attack.

Just watched a bit of this, Ty not even called to the sofa but absolutely unbearable. Don't know why anyone even tries to have any sort of debate with him when even if you're right you're 100% wrong. Even Robbie in the end too, desperate to try and put a negative spin on a manager like Conte being with us. The absolute desperation.

Bit of a train crash wasn’t it. It seems to be impossible to have an adult debate with the AFTV crew top to bottom, and as for Ty shouting from the sidelines and interrupting everyone, maybe it’s time he took a break for his own welfare. Robbie has a duty to his employees and not just his own bank balance, turning them into circus acts.
