On a serious note there hasn't been that many players who Wenger has developed in recent years. They either stagnate or go backwards. Is that because he simply doesn't know how to do it anymore?
Even the more established players (Ozil) seem to have regressed the longer they are playing under him.
Also, Mustafi and Xhaka came on big money transfers and have really struggled to move up a level. Could this happen to Lacazette too?

Something just seems wrong with their mentality and balance, they play nice pretty passes but it's only Sanchez who looks ruthless. It must be weird to watch the same season every season year after year.
They are a decent side but nothing more.

Ha I know. The fans really seem to miss the point that it's so much more than just buying new players.
The whole mentality, set-up, tactics are completely wrong. It seems to me that Wenger is too easy on the players, no repercussions for mistakes, no repercussions for bad performances - look at Ozil! Guy gets away with it week in week out.

How do they still have players like Gibbs, Chambers, Debuchy, Walcott, Jenkinson, Welbeck and Wilshere on their books? Campbell, Lucas, Coquelin, Elneny are all average as well. They've sent many of them out on loan instead of selling them, bought bang average players and now they're in a complete mess.
Wenger should have left so someone new could come in and clear out all the crap. Thank God he decided to stay..

Plus, as stated in this thread earlier, Wenger is happy for Sanchez and Oxlaide-Chamberlin leave on a free in the near future. Perhaps Ozil too.
That's a hell of a rebuilding job for them, especially if they're not in the Champions League.
It would be pretty ironic if the manager who gave them their best period of success, also completely destroyed his legacy.
