Whatever it was he needs to harness it and use it. The lads are still young enough to learn from their weaknesses. The most important thing is to start new season strongly.

we know what happened. the title tilt ended. and the motivation suffered. just because the Arse can still be motivated to finish second doesn't mean you can motivate yourself to play for second place when you have been going for the title.

... and the difference between playing the way we were before the Chelsea match and the way we've played since probably is equivalent to just a couple of percentage points, but it goes to show just how committed and professional you have to be successful at this level.

It didn't happen after Chelsea.
It happened at Chelsea when we lost concentration
on playing football and decided to prove
we were just as hard as they were.
We also lost Dembele in the process.
The Manager himself was probably at the back of it.
He oversold the Chelsea game and undersold
the importance to the fans of finishing above Arsenal.
Where was the new fighting spirit against Southampton and Newcastle.
It's the football stupid.

A young team who had worked their socks off all season had gone into the final furlong running on adrenalin. Once the disappointment of missing out on all the prizes kicked in, first there was frustration that expressed itself in misplaced aggression, and then there was just nothing left in the tank. The Premiership title was always the longest of long shots. Champions League qualification was already in the bag. We should have gone all out for Europa and cup glory and aimed to end the season with a bang not a whimper.

West brom was before Chelsea..... I just think they were spent after losing title. They just lost it. It's not the end of the world. We didn't miss out on champs league because of it. It may make us stronger, and Poch will be thinking is this squad good enough. Which it clearly isn't

Get more players in; don't try to win the league with such a small squad....

Needs to be a serious look at some players who may need to be sold. On the buying side I would a make a stupid big money offer for Payet he is a class player and would do well under Poch.. Although I doubt West Spam would want to sell him to us, he may need to force a move to get Champions League football next season. Also Mahrez but I don't think he will want to leave Leicester after the season they have had, also Leicester will also be in the Champions League next season.

The Chelsea game, had it been won, would have meant we were still in the chase. We were trying to win the title, chasing Leicester and not Arsenal. We had a mental comedown afterwards that was not suprising. It's all very easy to be wise after the fact, but not clever.

Good. They have to start strongly without Dembele. We have to learn not to over reliant on any single player. Including Dembele, Kane, Alderwiereld and Lloris.

Take a superstar out of any side and they become weaker for it. Our midfield is weak without Dembele, and we don't win nearly as much without him. Prior to our recent run we had a win rate of about 60% with him and 40% without him. That's probably more like 30% without him taking the recent games in to account.

We'll need to get a rotation player of the requisite quality for him because like it or not, our other midfield options aren't cutting it at the top level.

We blew out against the Chavs we shot the proverbial bolt.

All that aggression and all it did was take our focus off what we are good at, playing football.

Wise for me every time.
I just don't buy any of this.
The title was gone before this.
We blinked, Leicester didn't.
There is no excuse for the second half at Chelsea
or the shambles against Newcastle.
