Would love this to happen but reckon man u would want the sort of sums being talked about i.e 50m ish so that rules us out. No chance of a loan deal unfortunately.

Problem with a straight swap Martial for Rose, would be then we still need to get another LB in. We've already sold England's No.1 RB and not replaced him, to do the same with England's No.1 LB would gross negligence. Fullbacks are hugely crucial in our system, to leave ourselves so short would be foolish. Having money available hasn't helped us source a RB so far.

Should have made City sweat until we got a RB in imo. Not sure what the benefit of selling Walker so early was.

Because we were not going to buy a RB. Trippier is seen as first choice with Poch's blessing and KWP is seen as both back up and the future. And Dier can play RB in a back 4 and Sissoko can play as a RWB in a 3-4-2-1. Alderweireld plays there for Belgium. We have lots of options. Fans perspective has changed because (a) Trippier got injured (for only 3 weeks) and (b) Poch (in his 2nd language) made a comment about KWP not being ready to play lots of premier league games, potentially in a bid to keep the pressure off him. We are fine at RB.

Swap Rose for Martial? Complete madness. Probably the same lot that were complaining that we've no cover for KW.

Could it be more Dier to united and Martial to spurs? The players we're looking to sign are direct competition to Dier in my opinion. I'm not for this as Dier has leadership quality, but it seems to make more sense than Rose scenario.

They have little need for dier anymore surely with matic. Also people seem obsessed with someone leaving when we buy, but simply put we are short of players. Ignoring wimmer we have 3 centre backs and 4 centre mids including winks. Dier is included in both of these, so that's one less number. We play 5 at a time usually so the depth is horrible without flogging anymore.

They probably don't need Dier after getting Matic.

No chance. Dier and Rose are going nowhere.

Waddle on the BBC mentioned that we are looking at Martial, don't know how much he knows in the club. He probably just saw the Bouhlasi tweet as well.

Yep that's the problem, I'd love martial but not at the expense of just having Davies all season. unless we could do a crazy double deal with Shaw which seems highly unlikely.

If Martial is happy to be on the bench then he's not going to be the sort of player for us.

We need players with fight who want to play football regularly.

Martial's going to have to make a decision over the next couple of weeks.

He might not have a choice? Seems like Mourinho doesn't fancy him

Think all of this has sprung out because he isn't happy to be on the bench.

Or at least that is the sound of it. His agent is sounding out teams where he wouldn't be relegated to sitting on the sideline.

I'm guessing Shaun means he should be pushing for a move and if he's happy to sit on Uniteds bench collecting a wage then he's not for us
