Thats not silly money, £12m is around about his actual worth IMO. Silly money would imply a bid way above (maybe even double) his actual worth.
Half a season in the PL, 1 goal, no assists, £12m is almost crazy. That one England performance has inflated his value greatly.

He also had a very good 6 months at QPR in the Prem, 12m is not crazy for a HG England international in today's market. But hey, lets see how it pans out, dont see him leaving myself.

Edit- Just seen Rodwell went to Sunderland for £10m, which backs up my point a bit.

Sevilla adding another piece to their attack. Loan agreement tonight with Southampton for Gastón Ramírez, includes €6m option. #saintsfc

Making moves. We could be in the middle of a transfer ring with us, Sevilla and Southampton.

Yeah, I think if we sell him we're likely to be quite alright with the return as we understand how valuable he is given his status as well as what he could become. In any event, should we sell him I'm hoping we have a first refusal option or at the very least a large sell-on % (if not both options).

Well Poch is not the straight talking bloke I thought he was then, because I know it to be not the case.
MoPo said both are in his plans. What is he supposed to say- we are waiting for the bids to meet our valuations?

From a fan's POV I would love the manager to tell all but from a business POV he has to say that every one of his players is a valuable asset he could not bear to part with.

Pochettino was asked a question and has answered in a professional away. He's not going tor turn round and say yes we're looking to sell these players....that would weaken our negotiating position.

Denial in these situations is the oldest trick in the book.

yeah I get that mate. Thing is stuff gets posted on forums that is often just the headlines or even the quore, Without the entire article or context in which it is said it often does not tell the whole story.

From what I have read this....

"Mauricio Pochettino has no intention of letting Roberto Soldado or Andros Townsend leave #THFC before the end of the transfer window."

..........is not what he has said at all.

Of course they are in his plans because if they don't go they are part of the squad. At no point from what I have seen has he said... "I have no intention of letting them go before the end of the window".

So that's at least 2 more players out since Krueger said there would be no more.

With Cork likely gone as he's on the last year of his deal and not re-singing as well as our held out optimism for Schneiderlin.

Krueger is full of shit and it's been a baptism by fire on how to handle a BPL club. This is not the NHL anymore Krueger.

Un Canadien error. It is the EPL (English) not BPL.
I like Krueger. You can't argue that the business he has done for Soton this summer is less than excellent and he is a charming guy.

Maybe the reason the Saints fans are not too enamoured with the thought of Townsend is they've read too many of these threads?! ;)

I use BPL or EPL interchangeably, as it's still the Barclay's Premier League. So long as the league itself still accept money from them for those naming rights.

Although while we're on this topic it's actually "Canadian", not "Canadien", unless you are french.

I think Krueger is constantly showing how raw he is in this business and I can't help but think he's being set up as the pansy to take the fall. He also came from the horror show that is the Edmonton Oilers.
