Seen this guy score loads from watching highlights of the Eredivisie and checked out his goals return. He has scored 29 times in the league these season in 32 games whilst scoring 24 last season in 23 games! Seems like a decent player and from clips of the goals he scores he looks like a real all rounder.
Only 25 years of age as well! Any keen watchers of the Eredivisie able to give a decent verdict on him?
I know its very hit and miss with signing strikers from the Dutch league but Bony was a risk this season and he's showing everyone what he can do!

We were linked with him in January but I hope we try in the summer!

I think a source needs to link us to him before you can start a thread here, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I don't think Finnbogason is the right way to go - he's a good player, but I don't think he's what we need.
Granted that Ade goes, we need another physical presence up front, and Alfred here doesn't give that.

He's got an awesome name. Looks to be a very tidy finisher from the videos, likes to place his shots by the looks of it. No idea about the rest of his game.

Oh, and this one's going to get locked as there's no link to him.

Might make up for some of the khazi signings we've had over the years. :yuck:

It's here

Already tracked by several European clubs, especially by Lazio and Zenit Saint Petersbourg, Icelandic international forward Alfred Finnbogason (25) has been targeted by Tottenham management. The player is likely to leave Heerenveen on a full basis during next summer.

Just watched that video

Not impressed in the slightest. Penalties aside, every single one of the goals he scored was down to shit defending/goalkeeping. The sort of defending you do not see in the premier league. Jozy Altidore and Ricky Van Wolfswinkel can vouch for that.

Not good enough for us.

Bony was one of the handful of exceptions that prove the rule; shedloads of goals in the EPL don't often translate into shedloads of goals in stronger leagues. Apart from Dozy Altidore and van Wolfswinkel, Luuk de Jong, having bombed at Mönchengladbach, was equally useless at Newcastle (many on here insisted we should sign him a couple of years ago). Try looking up the top scorers in Eredivisie over the past few seasons and seeing where they've ended up.
