Can't begrudge the guy winning it. Let's face it, the Barcodes' fans were a long way short of enthused by his appointment, but not only has Pardew won them round, he's got them challenging for the CL and (I think) into Europe. I certainly didn't see it coming at the start of the season.

Cant argue with that to be honest, they have been fantastic this season, bar a few poor games he has had them doing unbelievably well

He hasnt won a lottery ticket to buy what he likes, he has bought some decent quality and has them punching above their weight. Deserves it for that alone.

Would never had thought of him as being this talented. Did well enough last season after taking over from Chrissy. This season has come from nowehere, for me at least. If he continues this, OK, maybe not a serious push for top 4 but why not I guess, but has them in around the top 6 in the next couple of seasons, he is the next Ingerlund manager fo' sho'.

He was sensible enough to rule himself out immediately last time, so no probably not.

We should be 3rd with the squad we have, Newcastle are prob 5 places above where I thought they'd finish this season. He's done well.

I have never really rated him, been sacked by West Ham, Charlton, Southampton and resigned from Reading. A promotion in there but not really a brilliant CV. I wouldn't give him all the credit for the signings at Newcastle. The man who did most of the work is ex Spurs scout Graham Carr who went there with Chris Houghton in 2010. Wish we'd kept him and got the players for Spurs!!

Looking at the players we brought in during his second stint with us, I doubt we would have. He can scout the players all he wants, it's up to others to OK and then sign them.

Even though I think he has a smugness to him, that I hate I think he deserves the award. The fact that Newcastle can still grab a CL place on the last day if the season after the losses to what some may say was the core of the team, is pretty good.

Do they announce a top 3? I'm intrigued as I live in Norwich and I know that a lot of my mates will have the hump that Lambert hasn't won it, but f he came second they might be less annoyed.

There is a top 3, second was Steve Kean and third was Kenny Dalglish.

He's done really well and deserves the award. Next season could be a tougher season for him though - especially if he can't meet the supporters heightened expectations.

I wouldn't of voted for him. If you look at a lot of Newcastle's games, they picked up points due to the brilliance of 1 man - Tim Krul. If it wasn't for Newcastle having an outstanding keeper, they'd of conceded a hell of a lot more goals.

Mancini has to win it for me. Yes he's got a quality squad but look at some of his regular starters - Lescott, Zabaleta, Barry, Milner - hardly great players yet they've performed outstanding as a unit.

We complain about our lack of height, yet city play with 4 midgets (Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Tevez) up top and produce some beautiful attacking football.

City have won home and away against utd and destroyed all their rivals (including us). I don't care how good a squad is, you need a great manager/tactics to consistently produce great football and to ultimately win the championship.

I think consideration has to be given to how they achieved against expectations. Newcastle were a lot of people's choice to be struggling this season, some pundits even predicted a relegation struggle.
