To be honest I meant more the Wenger comment. He was. Sugar don't like AVB.

The Wenger quote is a) a lie and b) if he really thought so, he shoulda hired him the fuck ages ago, the slow loser. To be honest I meant more the Wenger comment.
I cannot help but laugh at the irony that whilst Dein appointed Wenger with all the resultant success, Sugar appointed Gross. I am not forgetting Sugar stepped and saved the club from bankruptcy but so many of his managerial appointments were reactive and without any obvious air of long term planning in my opinion so his comments are a bit rich.Wish he could be more articulate when he posts. He may be partly right but this is not the way for a Sir, so childish and silly and what not...

No? I thought we were quite far into the red when he bought the club from Scholar if memory serves?Ahem!
No, he didn't!

Of course, I'll check back and read it.Sorry, mate!
Was only referencing my earlier post in this thread, if you can be bothered to read it.
Totally agree. His intention was to have a vehicle to sell satellite dishes to Sky - being Spurs CEO gave him some credibility. Not sure that you read my post properly.
As I clearly said, the club didn't need saving. Terms had already been renegotiated with the Midland Bank before Sugar took over.
Twatter is not the platform for interesting, articulate posts. You've got two lines or maybe three. It's better just to get to the bottom line.Wish he could be more articulate when he posts. He may be partly right but this is not the way for a Sir, so childish and silly and what not...
I've just read it. I should have had a read through the thread first. You made some interesting points. The twitter post irritated me because I feel like we missed the opportunity to really progress as a club back in the 90s and whilst Levy's tenure has not been without mistakes, he seems to have a vision that one never felt was tSorry, mate!

How is Sir supposed to behave? One of the things that I like about Sugar, is that he just strikes me as a down to earth guy, who hasn't forgotten where he came from.
He's only saying what a lot of people here think, so what's the difference?
I don't think he is, but why should he shut it? He is entitled to his view?Actually, is Sugar still on the board?
And what % stake does he still hold?
Methinks someone needs to tell him to shut-it.
He's not on the board. Mullers is right, of course he does have the right to his opinion but it's pity that he missed whatever Arsenal saw in Wenger otherwise who knows where we would be now.Actually, is Sugar still on the board?

I still couldn't place him in the same basket as Blackburn's Indian chicken men, City's former Prime Minister of Thailand or their current Dubai businessmen. He is a tosser, I amazed he was our owner tbh
He knows fuck all about football
I don't think he is, but why should he shut it? He is entitled to his view?
