The harsh reality is though, if we are targeting those of the highest calibrate that our competition for signatures ranges from Bayern theough to Barcelona. Of the top 10 wealthiest clubs globally at the moment we are the smallest of them all so surely our options are these:

1- target the cream who will also be in contact with bigger teams, hence the need to convince them of the project,what the club stands for, its traditions and direction going forward

2- target targets that the best of the rest go for where we go to the top of the pile based on reputation.

It depends on what people think will take us forward, the Adrien Rabiots or Andre Gomes' of this world

Always believe if we want to improve we need to bring in players that want to come & improve us & he clearly isn't one of those. If he were to come I think he'd always be thinking I should have been at Barca.
