A loan would be nice because we could see how he goes.
Wolves would want a fee due to contract, signing him up for 4 years means we could be stuck with him if he flops. A type of deal FP seems to be avoiding so far during his time here.

Super odd on how much we like him (FP) and for how cheap he's available for that we aren't making a move. I wonder if he burned bridges with us when he chose Barca over us, or if Conte just purely doesn't want him, although there's a lot of articles over the last year saying Conte likes the player or would potentially take him.

Really hoping for this to happen and Gill to go to Valencia.
Surely everyone agrees this guy is a better option off the bench than Gill? Could have done with him last night to mix it up a bit at the end.
I know all the negatives and totally agree with them but he does cause problems.
The squad would be better if he came and Gill left.

Totally agree with you and just am still surprised with FP's love for him.
I was doing a bit of digging and Dean Jones (not sure how reliable) has said we're interested but he heard Wolves asking price went from 10m to 20m and unless that price came down, there would be no chance. If that's true then it makes sense why no one is going near him, but also weird business by Wolves
