Maybe it’s selective memory, but I feel like the typical reputable media sources have been really good for us this summer. So, with there being no real links to anyone other than Daniel James, I personally don’t see any other options happening.

I know i'm going to fall into the trap again today, keep watching transfer day and doing no work to see if we buy someone and at 10,59pm go to bed disapointed lol.

That he can cause chaos I can accept but I cannot see much benefit to that other than maybe we are banking on our front line being so much better than the teams he has played for that we could capitalise on chaos due to our players superior positioning and finishing because they will not be putting away his "crosses".

He is a dud in almost all other respects.

In my nearly 20 years on SC, this is the player thread I have found to be the most repetitive/cyclical. I now cannot wait until Adama Traore retires from the game of football, so that we never have to speak of him again.

Controversial but I think Traore would have made a big difference last night. As is often the case we couldn't get up the pitch due to their press. Traore might have given us an outlet, won us free kicks and given us that chance to get forward.

If we could work a loan deal somehow that would be ideal. My concern really is I feel better will be available next year. Just for this season get him on loan maybe with a little fee to Wolves and cover his wages for the season.

I don’t think it’s controversial. Those of us who think he could offer us something want him for those reasons and to help us counter.

Others just don’t rate him or think this is enough.

That was my hope but my guess is Wolves won’t go for that.

Only thing I can think they might go for is if we send them Gil on loan. They have a pretty small team and play with the ball along the ground. He might suit Wolves well.

He would actually be a great fit for their style of play but I think he'd really struggle for minutes. They already have a slew of attacking midfielders/wide forwards in Podence, Neto, Guedes, Nunes and Hwang. I can't see a young loan player like Gil getting enough minutes there to make it worthwhile.
