Selling Aaron would be a huge mistake imo. He has huge impact on our team. For example Walker wasn't so good today becouse there was Andros on the RW not Aaron.

He wasn't as good? Sure he made some errant passes, but I would say Pablo Hernadez and the replacement for Routledge took him on quite well. That has nothing to do with Townsend. Again people harping on the fact that lennon tracks back. We need goals people. Our spine is the best it has ever been.

Townsend was great for QPR (probably their best player) and they raved about him like nobodies business. He's carried on that form and been excellent the last two games. My guess is he's been lighting up training as well. If he's ahead of lennon and pushing him out of the squad it's for a reason. AVB is no mug.
being their best player wasnt hard although it was only in a few of their games and in the games i saw he didnt have a lot to beat . and the only reason he played was because lennon was injured theres no way hes ahead of him as he isnt that good and theres no way he will be better and your right avb is no mug ... but you well

Keep on keeping on, but I just don't see it. Today he provided sooooo much more than lennon has in ages. He is a threat in multiple ways. When playing on the right he can cut in and unleash a lethal shot. When he plays on the left he can whip in crosses that lennon can only dream of in his sleep. If you watched Davies today you would have seen a defender that was left with broken ankles a couple of times. When Lennon takes a defender on all they have to do is wait for his single move. I really don't see the comparison and I believe AVB sees it now too.

We could probably get nani for 13m. Just saying like, but who is better in a 433? Lennon sure ain't. Utd wouldn't sell him to us but I'm just saying. I love Lennon but....

I really think it will take Lennon's departure to turn the tides with some of you fans. Sorry to be harsh, but there are better options available and I think we just let one go out on loan to Spain.

Im sure we could get circa £15m for Lennon, i would 100% reinvest that in Nani, personally believe he is criminally underrated and would be perfect in an AVB 433

One thing that Lennon does very well but gets little credit for is tracking back. So far we have played teams where this has not really been needed, but I think Townsend could well be shown up in this department.

As someone started earlier, we need goals, service for Soldado. I think we can sacrifice a bit defensively now we have our midfield beasts in.

I'm quite surprised so many people won't mind if he leaves. Yes he's certainly replaceable when looking at our starting 11 but being able to bring someone like Lennon on against tired legs would be massive.

try specsavers then you be able to see avb will soon put lennon back in as he brings more to the game and has done for far longer townsend will struggle to come close as he doesnt have the tools lennon has and in todays game he was ok nothing more yes he won a penalty so did lennon last week so i dont see any big imrovement stick to fantasy football will you

I like lennon but I still want a new right footed lw, I wanted Bernard, then willian and now ljajic. I'd have happily kept lennon as backup but the chadli signing kinda pushes him out. Not knocking chadi buy I'd rather we just got Bernard/willian/ljajic instead snd krpt lennon but now lennon would be the one to leave

Who would you have us bring in to sit on the bench then? I'm not calling for him to keep his starting 11 place, I'm supporting the benefits of having someone like Lennon as a squad player.

Would be really angry if he was sold. Easily our most dangerous player against Palace. When are we going to stop this mentality that we need to sell all senior players if theyre not going to start every game? We suffered from injuries badly last year and we've blown Champions League twice due to chronic shortages in depth.

No he isn't, that's why hes only a few U21 caps and why he eventually didn't set the sky on fire on his past loans despite bright starts. He is flashy and exciting to begin with, but once defenders get that he has absolutely zero vision and he is always trying to make runs into shooting positions, he won't be much of use. Predictable as they come.

Bale actually has a vision and knows when to release the ball, big difference there. I mean it's quite a different to defend against player who has an eye for pass and ability to deliver it. Andros has to offer more than goal in every ten games to offset his deficiences.
