I reckon Ramos will go for a quick, pacey and fit 4-4-2 - this is my preferred choice!

Toldo

Hutton Woodgate King Bale

Lennon Jenas Sidwell Capel

Keano Berbatov

Ol' Franny is 36 now.

I know David James is still going strong at 38 but there's no way I'd sign Toldo when we can get Stekelenburg who should be just as good and is 10+ years younger.

In addition to the 20-plus keepers who have actually been linked to us, however tenuously, we probably have at least ten suggestions from SC members. With memories of SAF's six-year search to find a decent replacement for Schmeichel, not to mention our own disasters in the shape of Barry Daines and Bobby Mimms, I suggest we hang on to Robbo just in case. Better the devil you know…

There seems no reason to suppose that our starting formation will be anything but a 4-4-2. Ramos' predecessor at Sevilla played 3-5-2, fairly successfully, but the first thing Juande did was switch to 4-4-2. How that will change in the course of a game is anyone's guess, of course, but I suspect that Juande's adventurous change formations have partly been due to his having had to use what he's inherited. From what those who have seen a fair bit of Sevilla have posted, we know what he favours in regard to basic tactics.

Oh, I agree SS57, but as I've said, this is a suggestion rather than a prediction.

I've been trying to think of ways incorperating Diego into a Premier League team without splitting up Berbatov and Keane. It would absolutely need a Poulsen, or even someone better, to work.

Berbatov and Keane might get split up anyway.

Firstly Berba might leave, secondly Villa might arrive.

I definitely think that Ramos is going to go for Villa this summer and I now think that there is a realistic chance that we get him.

Berbatov & Villa up front, can you imagine that? 2 of the worlds best strikers playing for Spurs at the same time.

Here's my little bash at our starting line-up for our 1st prem game next season.

.......................Palop.......................

Hutton.......Woody...King.........Gilberto

Lennon.........JJ.....Albelda...........Bale

.............Berba........Villa..................

By the way i would be verry happy if we signed Diego, I think he is a better version of Joe Cole.

But we already have two world class players up front.

I think it could work Christophe. Keane defo has the work rate to drop to left wing when we lose the ball. He pretty much does it anyway, remember when he turned Carvalho inside out last year for Lennons goal and again this year in the final from the left wing? In fact, its very similar to how we play now with Steed often cutting in.

Also agree with the point about Diego being similar to Joe Cole, I'd love to see Joe Cole on the left for us, highly unlikely though. I dont think Diego has played on the left before, but he has all the attributes to play there in the same way Cole does for England.

The thread's asking peoples opinions whether my suggested formation could/would work or not.

Reckon it could? :)

It could. It's pretty unbalanced though. I'd rather have a proper left winger than Diego, keep things simple.
