If however we (Bale) don't maintain our incredible scoring run...
Spurs: 0-point possibilities include Liverpool, Chelsea (a '6-pointer), Man City. 1-point possibilities include Swansea, Everton and Stoke. 15 points if that happens and we beat the others, taking us to 69 pts (or 72 if we beat Chelsea).
Chelsea: Would expect them to win all except against Man Utd, Liverpool, maybe us and Everton. I think they'll beat us and drop points against Man Utd, Liverpool and Everton getting 2 points from those games. 23ptswould put them at 75 pts (or 72 if we beat them).
Arsenal: I expect them to drop points against Man Utd, Swansea and Newcastle but win the others. I think they'll possibly get a point against Swansea and Newcastle. 23 points will put them on 70 pts.
In my mind, we need to fully focus on picking up as many points as possible and the games against Everton, Chelsea and Man City I think are key in determining our place in next season's CL.
At the start of the season, I must confess, I was hoping that we'd be in the top 6 and finish 5th. I thought that would be an excellent first season for AVB as he went about changing us and moulding us into his vision of what he wants us to be.
Credit where it's due though.... "we've never had it so good" and we find ourselves in 3rd place again!
Does that mean "4th place is good enough"? - I don't think so. And I know that will not be the attitude AVB will be instilling in the players.
